When Linda and Pat Parelli first established the Parelli Centers in 1996, their goal was to create a special place… a place to which Parelli students from all walks of life could escape and have only one thing on their mind: HORSES and how to be better with them! And what better escape than to the glorious mountains of southern Colorado, or the enchanting estate in Florida that characterizes and dramatically differentiates each Parelli Center campus in the USA.Every year the courses evolve to reflect the needs of our students and therefore a constantly evolving educational program.

Parelli is the most positive and progressive horsemanship program on the planet and we are deeply committed to leading the industry in horse behavior and empowering horse lovers of every discipline and every level… of helping you realize your dream with horses.Parelli students come here to taste its essence at the source. You will learn how to be independently strong, and to keep making progress by leaps and bounds when you return to your home. Being here is more than just accelerating your progress or overcoming stumbling blocks, it is a life-changing experience.

Imagine the feeling you will have cantering or galloping your horse up mile-long meadows with a slight incline . Everything on campus is designed to help you become successful with your horse and fullfill your dreams. We have two indoor arenas, several outdoor arenas, two 180-foot round corrals, one of which is in Pat’s Professional Playground, the other one is nestled in Meadow Bonita, and there are extensive confidence courses with dozen of obstacles, jumps and challenges .

Before you ride your horse through the Confidence Course, you will experience the exhilaration of seeing your horse gain confidence and coordination with obstacles on the ground . Feel the thrill of having him do it with a calm, connected and responsive attitude with you in the saddle.

Every Wednesday night, we have a BBQ and campfirefeaturing horsemanship exhibitions given by our top students and instructors and serenaded by well-known musicians . A highlight of the year is our pinnacle event every September‘The Savvy Summit.’

Pagosa Springs, famous for its world-class mineral Hot Springs, rivers and stunning views, is nestled in the center of the San Juan Mountains, known as one of the most stunning ranges of the Colorado Rocky Mountains . It is located 2 ½ hours from the world acclaimed Santa Fe, New Mexico and an hour from the Wild West town Durango . A short drive from there you can experience Mesa Verde Cliff Dwellings and the Adventure Town of Telluride . The area between Pagosa and Telluride is intimately known as “Little Switzerland.” If you enjoy aerial views, a beautiful hot air balloon ascends to the heavens every morning at 7am and the launching pad is right next door to Pat’s favorite 27-hole Golf Course .

Most of the restaurants in town have named either a dish on their menu or a drink after Pat Parelli.

Come join us at our spiritual Home and create your Horsemanship memories of a lifetime!

In Florida, there are 1,600 horse farms in one county, 300 training racetracks and an airport specially designed to fly horses around the globe.

Almost every breed and discipline, English, Western or Speed Events, not to mention great trails in the forest for those who love to trail ride or drive the horses in open country .

The Florida Campus has been described by many as somewhere between a Country Club and an enchanted forest.

Our Horseman’s Adventure Park on Campus includes constant flowing creeks with many challenging creek crossings, a lake that your horse can swim in, a serious of natural and manmade

obstacles to help you and your horse build confidence in and out of the arena.

Everything on Campus is designed to help you become successful with your horse and fullfill your dreams . We have large and small arenas, precisions pens, honeycombs, several round corrals of various sizes, natural jumps, and the footing is excellent due to the natural top soil .

Ocala is located approximately 1 ½ hours north of Orlando, which boasts many theme parks, including my son Caton’s favorite - Discovery Cove, where they have a “Swim with the Dolphins” experience.

Within an hour of the Campus, you can see many forms of Florida wildlife, including crystal clear rivers where you can swim with wild Manatees . If that’s not enough, there are beaches to ride your horse on, restaurants, and golf courses aplenty!

“Students like you come from all over the world. Your passion for

self development, to become the kind of human your horse loves to be around… and to partner in the

dance of riding.”

Special Focus Courses

Each of these courses has a specialized focus – from equine psychology and good horsemanship to better riding.

Our programs are designed to teach you the requisite skills, but they also develop the intangibles – focus, feel, timing, savvy – the things most horsemen think you must be born with and cannot be taught! We’ve created an environment and program here that proves we can.

We set the scene for you to explore your mental, emotional and physical potential, to reach deeper understandings of yourself and your horse, and to learn the essence of communication and harmony with horses that will continue to unfold for years after you’ve returned home.

We look forward to welcoming you to our home, and to take you to places you never dreamed existed.

THE COMPLETE (NATURAL) RIDER MAKEOVERThere is something exhilarating and incredibly fulfilling about being beautifully balanced and in harmony with your horse.

When Linda first rode with Pat Parelli, in 1989, he gave her this sage advice: I know you love dressage, but I want you to pretend you never saw a dressage rider before. First you have to be natural, part of your horse. From there you can shape it into anything you want but without losing that naturalness.

If you interview the horse (maybe your horse) what kind of feedback do you think you’d get? OUCH! Here’s to looking at riding from the horse’s point of view and learning how to take what feels very unnatural to us to finally making sense and feeling good to our horse .Many riders never find that feeling because they are too focused on their technique rather than the overall goal of moving as one with their horse and then having their horse move as one with them – with smiles on both of your faces!

We call this course a “makeover” because the changes in you and your horse are astonishing. Just ask your horse when you’re done!

2-week course Topics: • Banishing the brace (in both you and your horse!) • Fluidity, posture, position and balance • Powerful simulations • Confidence & Competence • FreeStyle flow • Finesse elegance • Inviting your horse into harmony • Exploring the different gaits • Secrets of smooth transitions • Polishing your style

Prerequisites: Level 2+ skills (official or unofficial)

A Natural Bridge Into the Equestrian SportsAs Parelli students become more confident with their horses, many are starting to develop interest (or return to) equestrian sports in the English, Trail and Western disciplines - Dressage, Reining, Cowboy Dressage, Team Sorting, Ranch Versatility, Working Equitation, Cow-working, Trail Sports.

Even more importantly… that they want to do these using the Parelli principles so it is good for the horse too.

Psychology rather than Mechanics. Both Pat and Linda have already been researching (and doing this themselves) for several years now, and have developed important strategies for riders to make the Parelli-Bridge into their favorite sport . Not only does this pave the way for more fun and success, it will help make the bridge

2019 Parelli-Bridge Courses Launch! In 2019 we will run a select number of courses to introduce enthusiasts to the sport naturally… at a very special price!

Manage your confidence, your ambition, learn the maneuvers, apply behavioral psychology, avoid the negative traps, have a happy horse. Even more importantly, you’ll learn how to avoid the common pitfalls of getting too direct line or your ambition getting in front of your principles .

Who is teaching?Linda & Pat Parelli, and some of our best Parelli Professionals, who are competing and have knowledge and experience in these sports, will lead the courses . Having developed the curriculum together with Pat and Linda, you’ll get the knowledge you need to practice and perform – using horse psychology .

Who is it for?It doesn’t matter if you are new to the sport, or are already competing.

What matters is, knowing how to use psychology. We will focus on the psychology of training, and the BRIDGE to the sport, so you know HOW to maintain your horse’s confidence, calmness and enthusiasm for your passion. We’ll even have ‘mock’ competitions to help you get over your nerves and have fun with competition. Whether your goal is to compete or not, learning how to be more emotionally fit will alone be worth the price of admission!

Although admired for the incredible athletic beauty of the horse’s movements, modern dressage is often criticized for the harsh methods sometimes used, and there is growing demand for a more horse-friendly approach, a return to the classical approach espoused by the masters .

When Linda met Pat, she was training in dressage but struggling with her horse’s behavioral problems . At her first clinic in 1998 Pat taught Linda to understand her horse and use more psychology, and the next 25 years made history as they traveled the world together and founded the natural horsemanship industry .

About ten years ago, Linda returned to study dressage as a student of revered master, Walter Zettl, and more recently with Christoph Hess . Dressage has never been far from her mind, and many theories and philosophies on making the bridge have been intensely discussed since the year 2000 when she met two time Olympian Luis Lucio (who is now Trainers Delegate on the FEI Dresage Committee, and Chef d’quip of the Spanish Dressage Team, and a Parelli Level 4 Graduate!) .

Although Linda rides more for her own education and research, she quickly saw the dressage-related gaps in the Finesse part of the Parelli Program . Applying Parelli principles and psychology to the sport of dressage has led to many developments and breakthroughs .

Running a course that brings the two worlds together has been Linda’s life-long ambition.

“Learning how to apply psychology in a sport that makes you want to micromanage the horse has been a big learning curve for me. I love dressage, but I want my horse to love it too. Nothing makes me happier than when I’m told how happy my horse looks, how much he loves to learn and is easy to teach. That’s what I want to preserve and promote, and I can’t wait to teach you the secrets I’ve learned from some of the top trainers and masters in the sport.”

PARELLI BRIDGE to WESTERN VERSATILITY… + COW-CAMP! Pat Parelli

Moving cattle, sorting, separating, penning… real ranch work on horseback is an art, originating in Spain and carried forward in the iconic vaquero tradition. The western sports of cutting, sorting, reining, reined cow horse and ranch horse versatility all share these same roots, but the love of winning has often put a lot of negative pressure on both horses and riders . Things get fast and rough and good horsemanship goes out the window, but Pat will show you how to turn slow and right into fast and right! This is not just about learning the skills it’s also about fun and putting the principles of good horsemanship first.

“I see the other horses getting worse but Pat, your horses just keep getting better – show after show.” Cutting Horse Trainer’s name withheld by request.

Prerequisites: Level 2+ skills for horse and rider (official or unofficial). The course will accommodate riders both experienced or new to the sport.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve used cows to train my horses, dogs and my students! There’s something profound that happens to you… it makes you more natural and effective when you have a purpose, and it’s more meaningful for the horse.“ Pat Parelli

10 day course topics: • Versatility in western and ranch riding • Building the bridge from FreeStyle to Western Riding • How to prepare on the ground • Square turns, roll backs, stops • Gathering, herding, sorting, cutting, holding • Style & presentation • Equipment, Bridle Wisdom • Calming a tense horse • Improving responsiveness • How to practice

• Common problems to overcome • Anatomy of a training session • Basic reining patterns • Rail work • Precision riding • Preparing for a show • Dealing with nerves • Keys to a successful show! (Simulated competition)
