About Eric Kimberling
Founder and Managing Partner of Panorama Consulting Solutions
Eric Kimberling is the most recognized and respected independent ERP systems expert in
the world, giving 100% unbiased advice to clients for more than 20 years. Eric has dedicated
himself to giving keynote speeches at industry conferences and universities worldwide, and
has been quoted in hundreds of articles in newspapers, magazines and books, including the
Wall Street Journal, CIO Magazine and Fortune. He has served as the expert witness in the
industry’s highest-profile legal cases, representing both government and private companies
across the globe.
He has authored, published and presented more than 50 ERP articles and white papers, and
is the author of Panorama’s series of ERP Reports, quoted in dozens of publications per
year. He further demonstrates his industry experience as the lead facilitator of Panorama’s
ERP Boot Camp workshops and weekly webinar series.
Throughout his career, Eric has been called upon to investigate the feasibility of litigation,
provide witness testimony and build background reporting for the industry’s highest-profile
ERP lawsuits, including Lyons Magnus, Inc. v. Fujitsu America, Inc.; Partner Services, Inc v.
Avanade; Kathy Pishghadamian v. Nicor Gas; Flotek Industries, Inc. v. CD Group, Inc.;
Midwest Tape LLC v. ESR Associates, Inc,; Waste Management v. SAP; and Whaley Food
Service Repairs v. Epicor to name a few. Eric is actively involved in implementations and
project recoveries, giving him unique and up-to-date experience with modern enterprise
technologies.
Eric holds an MBA with an emphasis in operational strategy and a Bachelor of Science in
business administration from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He is
also Six Sigma certified and a certified practitioner of multiple ERP solutions, including SAP,
Siebel, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor and Infor, among others. He has won numerous
industry awards for his experience and contributions, including Supply Chain Pro to Know
and Best Independent ERP Blog from ERP Focus.
About William L. Baumann
Director of Client Services, Panorama Consulting Solutions
Bill has more than 35 years of experience in marketing strategy, direct sales, account
management and C-level management. He is adept at quickly understanding complex
product and service offerings, forging key relationships and establishing essential strategic
partnerships. Bill has significant experience in the Oil & Gas, Not-For-Profit, Finance,
Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Automotive, Retail, Recreation,
Entertainment, Food & Beverage and IT Services industries. He has international business
management experience in China and Latin America and is conversational in Mandarin and
Spanish.
As a certified trainer of CRM and e-commerce solutions, he managed sales and marketing
of ERP software and e-commerce solutions for 12 western states in the U.S., and has
performed software selection with consulting groups serving the Oil & Gas, Food &
Beverage, Publishing, Medical Device and Aerospace & Defense industries.
At Panorama, Bill provides oversight on a number of ERP selection and implementation
projects, and provides subject matter expertise in the Energy, Oil & Gas and Utilities
industries. He also manages Panorama’s ERP Expert Witness practice and the resource team
providing research support for the same.
Some of his past client work includes Accenture, ATOS Canada, Lamons Manufacturing,
RAHR Corporation, Strack Energy, Griswold Hydraulic Pumps, LogicData, Baker Hughes,
Shell Oil, HSBC, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, IBM, HP and Xerox. Bill holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson
University.
Management and Consulting Experience
Implemented an enterprise-wide ERP distribution system encompassing worldwide
consumer shipments for the world’s largest computer specialty magazine publisher
Managed a DEC magazine subscription fulfillment system and operations staff for
four computer magazines
Served as communications liaison, QC auditor and intersystem troubleshooter
between the AT&T billing system, the Bank of New York clearing system and the
fulfillment organization’s ERP distribution and customer service system, which
automated the operation of AT&T’s Opportunity Calling, the world’s largest loyalty
program with 40 million participants
Managed the ERP distribution and financial system as well as customer service
operations for AT&T’s Long Distance gift certificate program with more $250 million
of gift certificates in circulation at any time
Managed Latin America sales for a worldwide campaign management software
developer, while selecting and working with system integrators in six Latin American
countries; primary clients were international banks and insurance companies
Managed delivery services for the world’s largest system integrator of Infor’s Visual
ERP system, while managing system implementations, upgrades and modifications
for more than 600 clients throughout the Midwest U.S.
Managed e-commerce and ERP system sales for the largest geographic system
implementer for Infor’s SyteLine (Visual) software throughout 13 Western U.S.
states.
Toured 300+ prospects and clients running numerous ERP systems throughout the
Americas, including applications such as WMS, TMS, CRM, HRM, QC/QA, BI, etc.
Managed the marketing database for the world’s largest satellite TV and internet
provider, while providing strategic direction for marketing campaigns and system
capability consulting
Provided consulting/oversight for the establishment of a customer subscription
system for a Greenfield Sports Satellite TV magazine with an initial enrollment of
more than one million customers
Implemented a field service, CRM and manufacturing ERP system for an industry
leader in Oil & Gas field services in Houston, TX
Spearheaded a new business catalog list division for world’s largest shared catalog
list provider requiring the modification of the core database housing of more than
300 million catalog consumers
Managed a new media projection division of a Cisco Gold Partner in Chicago, IL
Richard Armitage
Manager, Client Services – Expert Witness, Project Recovery and IV&V
Richard was born in Hong Kong where he lived for over 18 years. He has also lived and
worked in the United Kingdom, and is currently based out of the Denver office. He is a dual
citizen of the United Kingdom and United States, and has the ability to work unrestricted in
the U.S., the EU and Hong Kong.
He is a results-driven finance and business systems professional with experience in multiple
ERP implementations as a Finance Professional, Systems Administrator, Business Analyst,
Subject Matter Expert and Project Manager. As a Certified Project Management Professional
(PMP), Richard’s project management experience includes numerous finance ERP, BI
implementations and upgrade projects. He also has SDLC and agile experience, and has
managed employees and teams of consultants in both the U.S. and India.
Specializing in process improvement, his 25+ years of business experience spans both the
public and private sector in the following industries: International Investment Banking,
Software Development, Foreign Exchange Settlements, Telecommunications, Renewable
Energy, Hospitality, Mortgage Banking and Healthcare to name a few.
As part of Panorama’s Expert Witness team, Richard writes and develops expert reports
supporting defensible opinions and investigates evidence for clients looking to explore,
initiate or defend an ERP litigation. Additionally, he consults in the Panorama IV&V
(Independent Verification and Validation) practice where he has developed processes and
procedures to help clients keep their own ERP projects on track and prevent them from
deteriorating to the point where litigation is considered.
Richard has been the retained expert in the Grupo Viz and NetOnNet international
engagements. Richard is also the case manager with primary responsibility for content and
resource management in the expert witness practice and cases.
