Advanced Learning Plan
• Each identified gifted/talented student in DPS
• Child’s strength area/s as noted in his/her identification– CSAP (Writing, Reading, Math, Science)– DRA/EDL +2 grade levels above– Raven’s– Circle’s test – CogAT (cognitive ability test)
• Verbal• Quantitative• Non-Verbal
Critical points/questions:
• Gifted children should have the opportunity to learn something new everyday.
• Once students are identified, do we provide instruction to capitalize on their strengths?
• What are the measurements for commensurate growth?
• Are identified gifted students having their instructional needs met?
