Pinoy Arabia FM, an Inter- net-based, community service radio sta- tion catering to the Filipinos in Kuwait, the Middle East and across the globe of- ficially launched on Dec 1 the “Sing Gal- ing Karoling 2” a Christmas Carol Sing- ing competition on the radio for talented Filipinos aged 16 and above who want to showcase their singing prowess. The qualifiers this week are Ivan Or- tiz, Ezael Mar Jandusay, Jerome Hantoc, Andy Cabalquinto, Red Dela Cruz, Jez Reel Perucho, King Frederick Balila, Ruth Aguillo, John Romel Valencia, Ice Mijares, Ed- gar Max, Arnold Evaristo and John Rae Lantican whi will vie for the grand prize on Dec 22, 2016 at the Inn and Go Kuwait Plaza Hotel (for- merly Swiss-Bel- hotel) in Kuwait City. Fabulous prizes await the top three winners during the grand finals such as round trip ticket to Manila for the grand prize winner and the People Choice Award plus cash prizes and gift vouchers for the other winners. The Pinoy Arabia FM Sing Galing Karoling 2 competition is open to all talent- ed Filipino citizens or of Filipino descent aged 16 and above who will sing a duet. 2. All top three placers in any singing competition in Kuwait are disqualified to join but may participate as guests if they wish to do so. 3. Interested individuals may register at the Pinoy Arabia FM Page on Face- book by liking the page and send via message the following: Name, Age, Ad- dress, Occupation, Phone Number and Title of Song. 4. Pinoy Arabia FM will send you a message of confirmation of registration and qualified contestants will be in- formed of the day and time of audition on the radio. 5. The competition proper will start on Dec 1, 2016. Qualified contestants must come to the Pinoy Arabia FM station in Marina Mall on the day of their sched- uled audition and bring with them their minus one accompaniment in MP3 for- mat in the USB. 6. Auditions will be held live on the radio from Monday to Saturday. 7. There will be weekly qualifiers whose names will be announced every Sunday on the radio and posted on the Pinoy Arabia FM Facebook page. 8. The Pinoy Digital Photographers in Kuwait (PINDOT) held its early Christmas Party at the Ruby Tuesday in Salmiya on Friday that was marked with fun and laughter. PINDOT — a Filipino word which means ‘Click’ in English founded in April 2008 is a group of Filipino work- ers and residents of Kuwait who share their common passion in Digital Pho- tography. PINDOT aims to encourage its members to get the most from their talent by joining a community of like- minded individuals who love their art and enjoy sharing their knowledge in photography. Members are of various professions such as architects, engi- neers, nurses, media, technical work- ers, IT, advertising executives and many more. The PINDOTEROS and PIN- DOTERAS mostly clad in red ex- changed Yuletide greetings. Spotted also were PINDOT members together with their kids who joined the Christ- mas fun. Bonding “The spirit of Christmas is for all members to be bonding together such as this annual tradition of having a Christmas Party. We all know that we are duty-bound towards our family and work in Kuwait so the time spent in pursuing our passion, more often than not, is being sacrificed so I am very de- lighted that even our senior members in PINDOT were able to attend our Christmas Party to celebrate with us and join in the fun,” stated PINDOT President Ana Maria Escobar during her welcome address. The brief programme hosted by Es- cobar and Mayo Gayares kicked off with a prayer led by Eric Fabro and marked by parlour games led by game master Charis Mae. They were ser- enaded with Christmas carols by ABS- CBN/TFC Correspondent and Pinoy Arabia FM DJ Kathrina “Mika” Perea and entertained by some “Kantahan Blues” with Rodante Mojica. A video presentation made by Fabro was also shown to the delight of all the officers and members. Finally, Gayares awarded winners in the photo contest as well as the winner in the “Minute to Win It” and “Pinoy Henyo” that went to the Newbie Team composed of Jefferson Delgado, Shee- la Sayat, Nick Velarde, Remar Toledo and spouse. Prizes were given for the two games respectively. As part of the Christmas tradition, members also had the Kris Kringle led by Maricris Malilay as everyone exchanged Christmas gifts with one another. The Christmas party was capped by a sumptuous dinner buffet while everyone had fun having their photos taken at the photo wall that was set up by the group. ing Karoling 2,” a Christmas Carol Sing-ing competition organised by Pinoy Ara-bia FM have made it and qualifi ed to the grand fi nals. Pinoy Arabia FM, an Inter-net-based, community service radio sta-tion catering to the Filipinos in Kuwait, the Middle East and across the globe of-fi cially launched on Dec 1 the “Sing Gal-ing Karoling 2” a Christmas Carol Sing-ing competition on the radio for talented Filipinos aged 16 and above who want to showcase their singing prowess.
