In the 1990s, they joined forces with National HVAC, and, more recently, they were adopted by Service Logic, the largest privately-owned HVAC service company in the U.S. This is a great benefit to their customers, be- cause, as General Manager Bill Messick stated, they are “a local company with na- tional resources.” They have about 30 employees, most of whom live in Sussex County. About half of their employees are seasoned veterans, who have been with the company for 20 years or more. The other half of their workforce are being trained and mentored by the best of the best. National HVAC believes in the im- portance of professional development for all staff. About 80% of their workforce are currently enrolled in training courses. Their experienced team is committed to embracing modern technology, and they make it a priority to stay up to date with cutting edge systems, energy efficient products, and current best practices. National HVAC invests heavily in the future workforce. They offer tuition reim- bursement to their employees, as well as ongoing training opportunities. In addi- tion, National HVAC partners with Sussex Tech to offer apprenticeship opportunities, and they play an active role on the Del Tech HVAC advisory committee.
