User & Vehicle Validation

• Most agencies responded promptly to our requests

• Vehicle Validation Due by Oct 1st▪ Primary Use Classification

• Do the best you can and use “Other” if you have questions

▪ Trailer and Utility assets• Goal is just to get the count covered by APD

Feedback on new System

• Improvements– Data entry is easier– Easier to get data out– More data available , especially for fuel purchases

• Changes– Searches are done using text searches rather than

lookup lists– Saved queries in MAXIMO will need to be setup as

Saved Searches in ARI Insights– Other fleet assets including trailers and utility equipment

will be visible– WEX Error Spreadsheet process will change; agencies

will not correct bad odometer readings

Cell Phones

• It is illegal to “read, write or send” a text while operating a vehicle.

• It is not illegal to use a cell phone or a radio.• Some agencies have rules against cell phone

use.• Other agencies depend on cell phones to

communicate with their drivers.• Dilemma: dependency vs. distraction• Send in your procedures and we will try to get

some guidelines out to everyone.
