2. Using the Pacojet Junior
2.1 Proper and improper useThePacojet Junior isakitchendeviceforcommercialandprivateuse.Pacotizingenableschefsto“micro-puree”fresh,deep-frozenfoodswithoutthawingintoultra-lightmousses,naturallyfreshicecreamsandsorbetsoraromaticsoups,saucesorfillings.Anyusagethatgoesbeyondthedescriptionprovidedhere,includingtheprocessingofothersubstances,cancauseinjuriesanddamage.Anyimproperusageasdefinedhereisnotpermitted!
2.2 AspectsrelatingtofoodhygieneWhileworkingwithfood,alwaysobservehygienestandardsandcomplywithanylegalstandardsconcerningfoodpreparation.Onlyeverprocessfresh,boneless,frozenproduce.Beforepacotizing,producemustbefrozenatatemperatureofbetween-18°Cand-23°Cforaperiodofatleast24hours.

ENDependingonthecontentofthefoodpreparation,thecoretemperaturemayincreaseupto-3°Cduringpacotizing.Consequently,pacotizedfoodmustbeprocessedquicklytopreventitfromspoilingandposingahealthrisk.Anyunrequiredfoodleftinsidethebeakerafterpacotizing,whetherfrozenorun-frozen,shouldbeplacedbackintothefreezerimmediately.Beforedoingso,ensurethattheprocessedfoodinsidethebeakerissmoothedflat.Onlyeverprocess(boneless)foodinthemachine.Othermaterialsareexpresslyprohibited.
3. Safety notesReadthefollowingsafetynotesinfulltopreventinjuryanddamage.Donotstartupthedeviceuntilyouhavereadandunderstoodthesenotes.Intheeventofuncertaintyorquestions,pleasecontactyourPACOJETsalespointbeforestartingupthedevice(seeChapter“15.Customerservice”onpage 34).

• ThePacojet Juniormayonlybeusedbypersonswhobeeninstructedinhowtooperateitsafely.
• Thedeviceanditsaccessoriesmustbekeptawayfromandstoredoutofreachofchildrenundertheageof8.
• Thedeviceshouldonlybeusedbychildrenovertheageof8andpersonswithlimitedphysical,sensory,andmentalabilityiftheyhavebeeninstructedinhowtouseitandarebeingsupervised.Theymustunderstandtherisksinvolvedinusingthedevice.
• Childrenmustnotplaywiththedevice.Childrenmustalwaysbesupervisedwhencleaningthedevice.

EN3.2 Riskresultingfromelectricalcurrent• BeforeconnectingthePacojet Juniortothemainspowersupply,
makesurethatthemainsvoltage /frequencyspecifiedonthetypeplateisguaranteed.OnlyeverusethedevicewiththeACcurrentspecifiedonthetypeplate.
• Foradditionalprotection,werecommendinstallingaresidualcurrentcircuitbreakerwith20mA.
• Ifyoudetectanyabnormalities(e.g.,smoke,noises)duringoperation,switchoffthedevicestraightawayanddisconnectitfromthemains(unplugthedevice).
• Onlyeverusethedevicewhenitisfreefromtechnicalfaults.• Checkthedeviceandconnectingcableforexternaldamagebefore

5.1 PropertiesThePacojet Junior isaninnovativekitchendeviceforcommercialandprivateuse.Itcanbeusedtocarefullyprocessfrozenproducewithoutneedingtodefrostit.Thedevicecreatesfinepureesandmoussesinasingleprocess.Thefoodisprocessedusingpositivepressure,whichhelpstomakeitsflavormoreintense.Thisprocessisreferredtoaspacotizing.

Indicateshowmanyportionswillbepacotizedbeforetheprocessstarts(seealso“PORTIONINGKEYS”).Ifthisindicatorisdark,theentirepacotizingbeaker(10)will be processed.Eachfinishedprocessedportionisdeductedfromthetotalontheindicator.Attheendofthepacotizingprocess,thenumberofportionsprocessedflashes.Iftheprogrammedquantityislargerthantheactualquantityinthebeaker,thequantitythatstillneedstobepacotizedwillbedisplayedattheendofthepacotizingprocess.Thisremainingquantitycanbeprocessedonceanotherpacotizingbeakerisinsertedintothedevice.
Ifyoudonotwishtoprocessanyfurtherportions,youcandeletetheremainingquantityinthedisplayusingthe“STOP/RESET”KEY.
Forcertaintypesoferror,thisdisplaymayalsocontain an Error message.(SeeChapter“9.Defects”onpage 31).

Thesekeyscanbeusedtoentertherequirednumberofportionstobeprocessed.Onepacotizingbeaker(10)canholdamaximumof10 portions.Theprogrammedportionquantityisshownintheportionquantityindicatorbeforeandafterthepacotizingprocess.
ThePacojet Junioronlyprocessestheprogrammednumberofportions.Thisquantitycanberemovedafterprocessing.Theproduceleftinthebeakercanbefrozenagain and processed later.

6. GettingstartedThischapterdescribeshowtopreparethePacojet Juniorbeforeyouuseitforthefirsttime.
6.1 Unpackingthedevice
CautionRiskofinjurycausedbyunpackingthedeviceanditsaccessoriesincorrectly!
• Takecarewhenunpackingthedevice,itisheavy.• Ifpossible,seekassistancefromanotherpersonwhenunpacking
thedevice.• Makesureyoudonotbumporinjureyourselfwhenunpacking
thedevice.Somepartsofthedevicehavesharpedges.

ENUnpackthePacojet Junior.Removethepackagingmaterial,adhesivestrips,andprotectivefilmsfromthedevice.
Storethepackagingmaterial(cardboardboxandstyrofoaminserts)fortransport,storage,andpossiblereturns(e.g.,intheeventofmaintenance).
6.2 CheckingthescopeofdeliveryCheckthecontentsofthepackagingtomakesureallpartsarecompleteandinagoodcondition(seeChapter“4.Scopeofdelivery”onpage 10).Ifyounoticeanydefectsormissingaccessories,pleasecontactyourPACOJETsalespointoryourofficialPACOJETservicepartnerimmediately(seeChapter“15.Customerservice”onpage 34).

7.1 PreparationsBeforethefrozenfoodispacotized,aseriesofpreparationshavetobecompleted.
Completethefollowingsteps:

• Alwaysholdthepacotizingbladewithtwofingersatthecornersbetweentheblades!
Insertthepacotizingblade(9)intothesprayguard(8)byinsertingtheheadofthepacotizingbladeintotheholeinthesprayguard.Whiledoingso,makesurethattheflatsideofthesprayguardispointingdownwardstowardsthepacotizingblade.Beforecompletingthisstep,makesurethatthepreliminaryscraper(8a)isattachedtothesprayguardandthatthelipofthescraperispointingtowardsthepacotizingblade.
3. NoteDamage to property caused by incorrect attachmentofthepacotizingbladetothespray guard!
• Neverattachthecombinationofthepacotizingblade(9)andsprayguard(8)totheprotectivebeaker(12) /pacotizingbeaker(10)beforeprocessing.Thiscanresultindamagetothedeviceanditsaccessories!
