Consideration of size ranges and the need to refrigerate the product is important as is the ability to recycle the pack and dispose of your proposed design solution appropriately.

Consumer convenience – functionality, handling, disposability and suitability of the product.

Innovation – creative use of materials to enhance structure, form and usability.

Consumer market – has the packaging solution been designed to suit the relevant target audience and predicted uses?

Display – shelf Impact. Do the shape, format and graphics have a strong shelf presence?

Model – entrants must supply one good quality mock-up able to withstand transport and handling.

Development boards – concise and clear presentation of the process of ideas.

Environment – potential re-use, recyclability and economic use of material, showing consideration to environmental issues.
