How does the Mobile Packhouse solution work? The mobile farm solution is easy to use, and doesn’t require employees to have prior computer or mobile solution knowledge. The interface is simple point and ‘tap’.

• The system uses a Symbol Barcode Ready PDA device which can scan barcodes.

• The system can be used with non barcode enabled PDA’s, users are required to type pallet numbers etc into the PDA in this case

• The system is wireless, so all company data is stored on the server, never on the PDA

• You can manage multiple packing lines, multiple staff/employees, unlimited storage areas, unlimited types of produce, unlimited product lines, and unlimited dispatch sites (both local and remote or in other countries)

Operational Interface Sign In To protect the security of the companies information, users must sign in using a username and password. Touch Screen Menu Users simply use their finger or stylus to select from the touch screen menu.

Move Raw Produce Scan raw Stock or Pallets of Finished product and select its new storage location. This keeps a history of storage locations and the employee who moved each unit of Stock. For non-barcode style scanners, users can manually enter the Stock No or Pallet No. Assign Stock to Pack View which Batch is being packed, the Line its being packed on, and the type of fruit and vegetables required for packing on in the Batch. Simply scan Stock to add it to the selected batch, or use the Search feature and the PDA will tell you what storage locations you can find suggested produce in. For non-barcode style scanners, users can select the Stock Numbers from the search list.

Dispatch – Select Order & Scan Rapid dispatch can be achieved by selecting an order item (scroll to view product name) and scanning matching Pallets to assign them to the order. For non barcode style PDA’s, users can use the Search facility to locate and select Pallets from available stores. Pallet Dispatch > Search & Select The PDA can suggest pallets that match an order telling the employee the pallet location. This screen is also used by non barcode style PDA devices.

Quality Control – by Batch Perform Quality Control on finished products by selecting the Batch and assigning individual tests to each batch. For non barcode style PDA’s, this system can be used manually for all features. Quality Control – Criteria Tests Create unlimited Criteria and Categories of Criteria for tests (via PC), and easily record the results for tests on the PDA.
