Buenos dias mis chicos y bienvenido a la semana 6 de aprendizaje en casa!

Hello my children and welcome to week 6 of home learning!

Hi Primary 3B! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend and that you enjoyed some time with your family. I got outside as much as I could and tried to get some rest as well.

I wish I could see all of your brilliant work! If you’ve got anything you are really proud of, please send it to our school admin email address. We love to see your work, it fills my bucket!

I’ve been reading some really good books and doing jigsaws in my spare time. Even though school work is important, it’s also really important to do things you enjoy. Can you do one thing every day that you really enjoy doing?

Literacy:

1. Reading Comprehension: Spend 30 minutes completing activities on Read Theory.

Remember you should read the passages and answer the questions without help.

2. Reading for enjoyment: Read a book and then fill in one of the cards to recommend it to someone! You could even send one of the cards to your friend or sibling to let them know you enjoyed it.

Word of the Week

Usually we have a word of the day, but while we are off we are having a word of the week!

Our word this week is:

Appreciation

Before I tell you, can you figure out what it means by using these pictures?

It means:

Recognising all of the good things about something or someone!

Can you use it in a sentence?

Writing:

A really good sentence not only has capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. It also has some describing words and connectives. Can you make these sentences better than they already are? You can make them longer by adding more detail.

Mr What: We are extending sentences to make them even better!

Miss How:

I can use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Spelling:

As it was a short week last week, we are revising our sound. Our sound of the week is ay.

Watch this video to learn how to say and spell it!
