Crochet owl ears as follows:

1. Re-join yarn on the owl head and make 1 sl st

2. Ch12 and make 1 sl st into the same st, make 1 sl st into next st, Ch20

3. Make 1 sl st into the same st, make 1 sl st into next st, Ch12, make 1 sl st into the same st and fasten off

4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 on opposite side for the second ear

CROCHET CORD:

Crochet cords in orange colour are used to make owl feet and cords in brown colour are used for ties.

So, crochet the required quantity of cords following the instructions below:

- 2 x 20 cm (8 inches) in orange colour for owl feet;

- 1 x 35 cm (14 inches) cord in brown colour if you intend to use owl as a wall organiser;

- 2 x 35 cm (14 inches) cords in brown colour if you intend to use owl as a baby cot organiser;

- 2 x 35 cm (14 inches) cords and 2 x 70 cm (27 inches) cords in brown colour if you intend to

use owl as a car organiser.

Note: For a car organiser you may use elastic instead of side cords. Please check and measure your

car seat for the required elastic length.

Crochet 2 cords in orange colour for owl feet and 2 (4) cords in brown colour for the ties as follows:

1. Ch3;

2. Work dc sc in 2nd

st from hook then turn work clockwise;

3. Insert hook in unused back loop of the

same chain;

4. YO and pull up loop;

5. YO and draw through all 2 loops on hook

– 1 sc in unused back loop is made;

6. Turn work clockwise;

7. From now on work sc in both loops at side of cord then turn work clockwise;

7.1 Insert hook in two back loops and YO;

7.2 Draw yarn through 2 loops on hook;

7.3 YO;

7.4 and pull up loop;

8. Repeat steps 7.1 to 7.4 until cord is

required length. Fasten off.

Following the above instructions make orange

cords for owl feet

Following the above instructions make brown cords for ties

FINISHING:

Attach buttons and patch to the pocket #2 and embroider couple of stitches with black thread around

the patch as shown in the picture below. Place the pocket on the owl body, fix it with couple of pins

and then attach this pocket along two sides and bottom line to the body by using cream yarn and

needle.

If you want to split this pocket into two smaller ones, then make a seam in the centre of the pocket as

shown in the next picture below:

Decorate pocket #1 with buttons and with heart or apple applique and then attach it to the owl body

the same way as the pocket #2.

Attach owl eyes and beak.

Attach top side of the wings both sides of the owl body and make couple of stitches to fix them in the

centre from WS of the owl body (see the main photo for wings position).

With needle and the matching yarn wrinkle the bow in the centre and attach it to the owl body as shown in the main pictures above.

Fold the orange cord to form the owl foot as shown in the picture and with needle and orange yarn fix it with couple of stitches and then attach it to the owl body WS. Repeat for the second foot.

Attach brown crocheted cord as follows: - 1 x 35 cm (14 inches) cord to the top of

the owl head for a wall organiser

- 2 x 35 cm (14 inches) cords to the top of the owl head for a baby cot organiser. To attach the cord make couple of stitches in the centre of the cord.

- 2 x 35 cm (14 inches) cords to the top of

the owl head and 2 x 70 cm (27 inches) cords or elastic to both sides of the owl body for a car organiser

Weave in all ends from WS.
