It was great to have so many present to worship God and we were blessed with several visitors as well. It has been exciting to me to see our college folks back with us. I always miss them over the summer months! It’s also nice to have a few new faces visiting with us who are also in Springfield for college. What a blessing it is to have a like precious faith with others who share the one true faith of God. Isn’t it great to be a Christian! We also want to remember those who responded this past Sun- day. Sister Clista Krebs came forward asking for prayers to be a better Christian, as well as to be a better example and influence on her family. She is having some struggles right now in her life. Let’s keep her in prayer before God’s throne. We also had sister Marcella come forward asking for prayers as well as forgiveness if she has offended anyone. It is truly a great blessing to have the throne of God to approach in such times of need. Furthermore, how encouraging to have our church family there to help, as well as praying for us. It’s hard to believe, but brother Brent and I will be leaving for Ghana two weeks from today (Wednesday). We still have a lot to do in preparation. We continue to solicit your prayers in relationship to the trip. I also want to thank many of you who have already helped toward special needs with the trip. Obviously, the more money we are able to take, the more we are able to do for the sake of our brethren with specific needs when we arrive. I am looking forward to seeing our brethren there and know that God will bless us as we do His will! Well, I hope you have a great weekend. Cindy, the kids and I will actually be visiting her parents for the holiday weekend. A big thanks to Dad who will be preaching for me Sunday morning and brother Allen who will give a report on his work in Costa Rica Sunday evening. I hope you have a wonderful Lord’s day. We’ll miss you all and God bless! *Ray Sullins*
