Identifying patients whose substance use puts them at increased risk for harm, including overdose.
Exploring the consequences of substance use with patients with the intent to strengthen the patient’s own motivation and commitment to positive behavior change.
Actively Assisting patients with linkages to recovery support or access to specialty care when more extensive treatment is most beneficial.
