OTL 570 Practicum in Online Teaching and Learning Adapted from March 2001 Instructional Design Competencies: The Standards
The instructional design domains, competencies, and performance
statements in this log are adapted from “Instructional Design Competencies:
The Standards” published by the International Board of Standards for
Training, Performance, and Instruction in March 2001. This log consists of
four domains, 8 competencies, and 54 performance statements consistent
with the essential knowledge and skills expected of an instructional designer.
Directions: For each performance statement, identify the activity completed
that demonstrates mastery of the statement.
DOMAIN 1: PROFESSIONAL FOUNDATIONS
Competency 1: Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and
