SHARE THE BURDEN “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). These words of our Savior seem to be in stark contrast to the previous chapter from the same Gospel, when we were told that if we do not take up our crosses, we are not worthy of Christ. Connect-ing these two messages might help us on our faith journeys. Being a follower of Christ surely means that we must embrace the cross, in its mystery of both suffering and triumph. This is something that we need not do alone, for the burden is often too heavy for us to carry by ourselves. Who, then, do we turn to? We can turn to the Body of Christ—the community of disciples gathered for worship. When we find the burden too heavy, let us remember that we can share that burden with our Christian sisters and brothers, who can help bring us rest. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

Faith in Action:

It is never too late to learn, especially about our faith, God and God’s love. What we learned as a child fits well for a child. Yet, we may find that as adults, the simplistic ways we were taught no longer satisfies; our questions go unan-swered. Faith in action is to take the risk to learn something new; that challenges the simplistic ways we have been given.

OUR LADY OF THE SNOWS 3 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Message from Fr. Bob: Working with the Parish Pastoral Council to develop the direction of our parish has been a focus this past year. Despite COVID restrictions, we progress forward to become even more active in the community, active in our faith and even more welcoming. One part of that progress is to continue Sr. Carmen's ministry, but grow it into a more involved

Snows Parish Ministry. In July, working with Catholic Charities we will begin to offer outreach to those in need in our parish neighborhood along with those Sr. Carmen had served so well. The hope is that more people can be directly involved with distributing resources and connecting people to CCNN to help them work free of poverty. So stay tuned to all our communications and be open to an exciting new phase in our parish!

Sr. Carmen and Sr. Carol’s new addresses:

Sr. Carol Bettencourt, S.H.F. 215 Avenida Palmdale #10

Fremonth, CA 94539

Sr. M. Carmen Baca, S.H.F. 215 Avenida Palmdale #6

Fremont, CA 94539

The daily mass on Tuesdays are now at 6:30 pm (and not at 8:00 am). This change is to allow for those people who work and cannot attend the morning weekday masses.
