The collections report for the week of June 28th was not available at the time of publication. The information will be reported in a later bulletin.

Thank you for your patience and generosity, and for your continued offerings, which we know are some-times made in great sacrifice.

Almighty God, give me wisdom to perceive You, intelligence to understand You, diligence to seek You, patience to wait for You, eyes to behold You, a heart to meditate upon You and life to proclaim You, through the power of the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

―St. Benedict of Nursia

In their statement on Forming Consciences for

Faithful Citizenship, the U.S. Catholic bishops remind

Catholics that we are called to engage in charitable,

respectful and civil dialogue during election season.

In a culture that is dominated by “partisan attacks,

sound bites and media hype,” the Church calls for

“a different kind of political engagement” (no. 14).

Join our Catholic witness for civil dialogue by

learning more and taking the pledge for civility at

CivilizeIt.org. You can take the pledge individually

or as a group and invite others to take the pledge

too. Visit FaithfulCitizenship.org to access resources

on civil dialogue and on how our faith calls us to

engage during election season and beyond.

BaptismsBaptismsBaptismsBaptisms

Baptisms are usually scheduled on the last Sunday of each month after the 11:30 Mass. At this time, baptisms will be scheduled individually, and no group baptisms will be held.

All parents wishing to have their children baptized at Redemptorist must attend a baptism class before the baptism. We strongly prefer that the godparents of the child also attend the class.

Baptism classes are held the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Rectory. There will be no baptism classes this month, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Call the parish office at (816) 561-3771 to register or for more information.

MarriagesMarriagesMarriagesMarriages

To marry at Redemptorist Church, at least one of the couple must be a baptized Catholic, and both must be free to marry in the Catholic Church. At this time, weddings are subject to the same social distancing rules that apply to Mass attendees, with the exception that the bride and groom are not required to wear masks..

Weddings are scheduled on Saturdays at either 11:00 am, 1:30 pm or 6:30 pm. Wedding rehearsals are scheduled the Friday evening before the wedding.

Please contact a priest at least six to nine months prior to your anticipated wedding date. Call the office at (816) 561-3771 for more information.

ReconciliationReconciliationReconciliationReconciliation

Redemptorist provides many opportunities for the sacrament of reconciliation. Confessions are heard in the church on Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm and from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Weekday confession times are suspended at this time, both in the church and in the rectory. Also at this time, confessions will be heard outside the confessionals in well ventilated areas until further order of the diocese.

We also have two Parish Penance Days each year, one during Advent and one during Lent.

Please note, there are no confessions on Sundays or on holydays.

Our 9:30 am Mass has moved back into the church (no more livestreaming). You do not need to call the office to reserve a place at Mass. Keep in mind, however, that we are still limited in the number of people we can allow in the church at one time.

We can now admit 50% of our capacity, but you must wear a mask in church, and we will continue to observe social distancing protocols. We’ll keep you posted as further changes happen!
