WeeklyWeeklyWeekly
Adirondack Community Church January 4, 2014
Beginning a new year fills us with mixed emotions, either happy anticipa-tions or fear, and anxieties about the unknown. The Lord is aware of our feelings and wants to remind us today: You don't have to face the daily chal-lenges alone if you put your trust in Me!
Lean on Me! Come to Me! Follow Me!
Trusting in the Lord will be rewarded with the priceless gift of PEACE. This divine peace will hold heart, mind and body together, come what may! It is my heartfelt desire that “…the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
“…the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
What We Believe
...the living core of the Christian faith is revealed in scripture, illumined by tradition, vivified in personal experience, and confirmed by reason.
...the one God we worship exists fundamentally within a community of the three per-sons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
…God’s son, Jesus, came to live among us as fully divine and fully human. His life, death, and resurrection points to and fulfills the good news of the freedom from sin and death, which we proclaim.
...we share one mission with Christians throughout time, to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
...it is into community (koinonia) that we have been called to coexist and through this community that we are able to truly manifest the body of Christ.
…wherever you are on your journey, we are here for one another! “In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty, In All Things Charity.”
~Rupertus Meldenius (1627)

Friday Ladies Bible Study will start a new study on January 9. 4:30 pm in the Todd Room
Nehemiah: A Heart That Can Break - by Kelly Minter is a 7-session Bible study for women. Nehemiah's heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. Like Kelly's other studies in the "Living Room Series", you'll find authentic Bible teaching, recipes, and a relational approach. Nehemiah also includes 7 video sessions and real-life ways to put feet to your faith. Are you ready to let God break your heart for a hurting, lost world and move you in compassion to be the hands and feet of Jesus? Join us on Friday. Book cost is $20.
Welcome to our newest members!

Adirondack Community Church Youth Group
Every Sunday @6:00-7:30PM: We meet at the same time and same place, regardless of storms or holidays. Youth demand consistency and we deliver. We sort of live by the USPS creed, “Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat…” We start our group with activities and games before breaking away for a discussion; we end sharing our joys and con-cerns and with prayer. We believe in building relationships with youth and love our kids!
Please check the back of the sanctuary for your 2015 offering envelopes to take home.
