    “…rather clothe yourselves with the

    Lord Jesus Christ…” Romans 13:14a

This week walking the discipleship journey together brings us

to the subject of fruitfulness. In prior weeks we’ve talked about

the reality that disciples are called into community, called to love

one another and called to be bold. This Sunday we’ll be learning

about how all Christians are called to be Fruit Ninjas!

If you’ve never played the game, Fruit Ninja is a time wasting

game that small children and adults alike love to play. For our

purposes today, the idea is that each one of us, as disciples, are

called to bear fruit. The fruit first manifests itself within our very

beings and later in the people and communities with which we

    surround ourselves.

Another way to depict this fruit is to talk about transfor-

mation. Transformation of self and of all creation is the call that

each and every disciple has been given and empowered to per-

form. So join us on our final leg of the journey, as we talk about

transformation and about being Fruit Ninjas!

    Pastor John Martin

  • What We Believe

...the living core of the Christian faith is revealed in scripture, illumined by tradition, vivified in personal experience, and confirmed by reason.

...the one God we worship exists fundamentally within a com-munity of the three persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

…God’s son, Jesus, came to live among us as fully divine and fully human. His life, death, and resurrection points to and fulfills the good news of the freedom from sin and death, which we proclaim.

...we share one mission with Christians throughout time, to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

...it is into community (koinonia) that we have been called to coexist and through this community that we are able to truly manifest the body of Christ.

…wherever you are on your journey, we are here for one another!

“In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty, In All Things Charity.”

    ~Rupertus Meldenius (1627)

    Prayer Team

Prayer is available after every worship service at the front of the church. You can also write your request on the back of this Weekly.

    All requests are confidential.

If you have a need that you would like us to pray for

we would be pleased to do so.

Contact: Pastor John at 607-725-5696 or Rev. Ingrid Johnson at 891-7428,

We Your Children! Our nursery is a valuable and important offering allowing parents a place for their little ones (with lots of enthusiasm) a place to play during the worship service. We have great volunteers but there is always need for more to cover times when our helpers can’t make it. Please consider this ministry. There is a Sign up sheet by the nursery door or you can contact Rhonda Preston, 523-4574 or call the office at 523-3753.

The flowers on the altar today are

    lovingly placed in memory of

    Matthew Clark by his family.

Our condolences go out to the family

of Betty Reid on her passing.

We pray for comfort, strength, & peace to

    sustain you.

“I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.

I will hold you up. “ Isaiah 41:10 NLT
