The immune system!!

What are all the parts of the immune system for?

• To protect your body from germ invaders

When germs enter the body your immune system will attack and kill!!

Does your immune system always win?

•NOPE!!!!

How do you help your immune system to you?

• 1. Get the right amount of sleep 8-9 hours for your age.• 2. Eat fruits, veggies, proteins like fish,---very light on the

sweets. Garlic and onions are great for your immune system.

• 3. Take a multivitamin each day.• 4. Get exercise—about one hour a day is good. Work up

slowly if you are just beginning.• 5. Keep your stress level down—stress is very hard on

your immune system if you do not control it. Yoga and listening to quiet relaxing music is good to help calm you.

Let’s make a list……

• Take the next 3 minutes and write down as many immune “incidents” that you can remember from the movie.

• By incidents I mean how was the immune system fighting for and to protect Frank’s body.

• Example-mucus produced to trap pollen grains.
