Pennate Large numbers of muscle

Bipennate – Two rows of fibres facing opposite direction (Rectus Femoris)

Unipennate – Fibres are inserted in a diagonal direction onto tendon (Deep hand muscles)

Multipennate – Tendon branches into 3 (Deltoids)
