EN-HE-HM MandateEN-HE-HM section is entitled as equipment

responsible for Transport and Handling Equipment at CERN and therefore mandated to assure …

…the technical availability of transport and handling equipment (procure new and maintain existing equipment)

… safe use and operation (administrative equipment management).

This presentation is to review 2011 activity related to this mandate and to inform about 2012 and 2013 activities.

HM Safety Mandate

29/03/2012

Overview Management tasks

• Use authorizations to operators other than EN-HE-HH (EDH AC-PE)

• Validation for use as access means (lamp + hall maintenance)

• Documentation management (Safety file, intervention history, maintenance and user instructions, certificates)

• Database management• Conformity management (>200 cranes not

CE)

Conclusion: These tasks require clarification and support by IT to be performed correctly and with the given resources!

Other HM tasks related to Equipment Responsibility and Safe Operation.

HM Initiatives

29/03/2012

In order to improve the equipment management a lot of things are ongoing: Chloé Cornu:

Process description (BPMN) for Use authorization via EDH

Process mapping of HM regular tasks

Damien Lafarge: Process description (BPMN) of technical

maintenance processes CMMS (GMAO) improvements: reporting …

JM. Chevalley / O. Boettcher / I. Ruehl: Interface and collaboration with DGS-SEE

….

Thanks to all people supporting these initiatives!
