Tip:

Electronic and/or use your

“Task” list from your Outlook;

this way you can utilize the

pop-up reminders and

print your list.

2

Schedule your priorities! You need to know

what has to be done now/today and

get it done!

Procrastination will kill you!

“Schedule your priorities instead of prioritizing

your schedule!”

3

1. Example: obtain 31 hanging files; label each tab

2. Labels 1 - 31 stands for each day of the month. This will help you with hard copy documents you need to keep for you or your co-workers. This will also be a place to keep items you need to work on for the next day, week, month, etc. and keep your work space looking neat!

3. Check it first thing in the morning to schedule your day!

4

Use it as a reminder of upcoming

priorities and due dates as well

as meetings.

5

Always carry a tablet of paper

and pen with you into your

supervisor’s office and meetings.

Gives confidence that you won’t

forget instructions and meeting

follow-ups.

6

Interruptions that waste your time;

this includes people and/or well

meaning visitors!

7

Know the behaviors of your

coworkers and the demands of

superiors!

Know their business preferences

and tendencies.

8

Find a contact person in each department

and use that person to get what you need

and answers to your questions!

You can get more done by knowing the

right folks than by knowing what’s right!

Remember the saying…”its not what you

know-its who you know!”

9

Don’t wait on other people to

get your job done!

Follow-through and follow-up

are key!

10

Definition:

Understand what is needed to

accomplish work objectives and

establish goals and priorities.

11

Able to prioritize work and develop a plan of action.

Establishes contingency plans and responds to potential obstacles.

12

If you don’t know what you are

doing--fool the people around

you by being organized; they will

think you have it together!

13

Go do it…in an organized way!

Focused effort is productive effort!
