In the development of the workplacement, apart from the
student, there are two key figures to ensure the quality of
the training:
Mentor or person responsible at the company.
Mentor/teacher from the school
Each year, the mentor/teacher will have as objectives:
Rotation of the companies
Incorporation of new companies .
FIRST CONTACTS Contact companies in order to check if they are
interested in receiving trainees. Companies that have never collaborated with the
school but have been in touch with us to show their interest in hosting students.
Companies proposed by students. New local companies in order to develop new
internship placements.
INITIAL INTERVIEW The teacher informs the company about all the
aspects related to the course and the workplacement, like the conditions and characteristics, the insurance that covers the student…
Asks for all the necessary details in order to fulfill the documents.
Meets the mentor at the company and sees the place Agrees on the dates and the timetable. Selects which tasks of the TRAINING PROGRAMME
is going to do the student
TRAINING PROGRAMME The training programme is the document where the
tasks that the student is supposed to fulfill at the company are written.
Each course has its own general training programme according to the curriculum.
There must be an agreement between school and company on the tasks the student will do according to the type of company and the post.

CHOICE OF COMPANYOnce the TRAINING PROGRAMME has been agreed, each
student will be given a company taking into account the following aspects:
The opinion of the tutor at the sending institution,
The students’ preferences and
The distance between the students' address and the company's.
The teacher fills and issues documentation by means of official software (Consejería de Educación/Regional Education Authority).

PREVIOUS INFORMATION
Before taking the student to the company, he/she must be informed about different aspects:
Activity of the company and its organization.
The training programme that has been agreed.
No labour contract.
Attitude in the company.
Punctuality, assistance, clothing, behaviour, relation with the customers.
PREVIOUS INFORMATIONRules related to the health and safety regulations
Explain them what should they do in case there is any doubt.
Obligation of informing the person responsible at the workplaement as well as the teacher in case they cannot go to work.
Avoid possible conflicts/incidents.
Good relationship with colleagues.
Confidenciality.
PRESENTATION OF THE STUDENTIt is desirable that the teacher accompanies the student
to the company the first day. The student can go on his own depending on:
The studentType of courseIf he knows the mentor at the company.If he has been previously in the company.
ORGANIZATION OF THE WORKThe student has to do the tasks written in the training
programme.The student has to be conscious of the utility of what
he is learning. The student has to have the necessary resources The mentor at the company has to be able to motivate,
to help to go over the difficulties in order to help the student with this practical learning.
With the workplacement the student is expected to acquire competences and the necessary attitude.
