Oral Surgery MClinDent /

This full-time, two-year Master's programme offersan understanding of applied clinical sciences andthe concepts of oral surgery, with practicalexperience in dentoalveolar surgery.

 Degree summary 

The programme combines taught modules with a research component.Students attend teaching clinics, lectures, seminars, and undertakeresearch study leading to a dissertation. There are supervised clinicaland laboratory courses and the opportunity to observe at in-patientoperating sessions.

// Students benefit from the broad programme structure that includesoperating sessions, outpatient clinics, lectures, demonstrations andseminars, and the use of investigative techniques to illustrate thediagnosis and management of orofacial surgical disease.

The programme is delivered through clinical instruction on a one-to-onebasis, theoretical instruction including seminar teaching, lectures, journalclub, self-directed learning and problem-based learning.

 Degree structure 

Mode: Full-time: 2 years; Part-time: 4 years

Location: London, Bloomsbury

Students undertake modules to the value of 360 credits. Year oneconsists of 135 credits of core modules. Year two consists of coremodules (135 credits) and a dissertation (90 credits).

 Entry requirements 

Applicants must hold an approved dental qualification and have aminimum of two years' clinical experience.

English language proficiency level

If your education has not been conducted in the English language, youwill be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level ofEnglish proficiency.

The level of English language proficiency for this programme is: Good.
