The Role of Cloud in Your Value Chain Enterprise Architecture
If you listen to some ads, cloud is the answer to everything. Cost,
connectivity, capability ‐‐ just by switching to cloud it will all be better. But
like most technology innovations, the reality is not so simple. And this is
particularly true when it comes to your value chain. So what do we really
mean by "cloud," and what are the real business advantages of switching?
What areas of your value chain offer the best places to begin, and which
pose more challenges? In short, how do you create an enterprise cloud

user expectations—which have changed dramatically with the
introduction of smartphones and tablets. In this session, we will discuss

well as tools to take action. See how Oracle is working with standards
organizations, partners, and our own application development teams to replace

How the Internet of Things Will Drive the Modern Value Chain
With the advent of connected devices, free communication and the Internet of
Things (IoT), objects are able to report their locations and status: for example,
refrigerators can place their own service calls! The IoT leverages capability from
embedded sensors and remote devices to provide superior service, user
experience and performance over the entire product lifecycle. But the IoT’s
predictive diagnostics, big data and preemptive service add new dimensions to
the supply chain. The modern value chain must take into consideration all the
new use factors of a product, prepare the supply chain for replenishment and
accommodate users’ higher information demands. Hear user testimony on
remote diagnostics, IoT connectivity and the greater demands imposed on
tomorrow’s supply chain.
