Purpose
This document is to outline for supervisor step by step on how to update subordinate work
information such as Building and phone numbers via Oracle Manager Self Service.
Oracle Manager Self Service
1.0 Login
Supervisor login to Oracle through my.utrgv.edu with your UTRGV login credential by
clicking the Oracle 24x7 ( ) icon.
2.0 Navigation
Once you are in Oracle, look for UTRGV Manager Self Service under Main Menu on your left
panel. Expand UTRGV Manager Self Service then you will find Personal Information Mgr.
Click on the Personal Information Mgr function.

3.0 Employee Building/Room Update
3.1 The system will bring you to your Personal Information Mgr page. You will find a list of employees reporting to you.
3.2 Find the employee’s name whom Building and/or phone number needed to be
updated and click the “Action” button at the right end of the specific employee name.
3.3 The system will bring you to the Basic Details page. Click the “Next” button.

3.4 System will bring up the Personal Information Mgr page for the selected employee. Click the “Update” button to change the building location for the employee.
3.5 To change the existing building information delete the current value, click the Search icon ( ) and then click “Go” to view and select a value from the list of available building codes. NOTE: You may use wild card search character “%” if you are not sure the exact
building code. Building codes in Edinburg campus start with E%, B% for Brownsville, and H% for Harlingen.

3.6 A list of building codes meeting the search string will be displayed for you. In this
case, building codes start with ES. Click on the Quick Select icon ( ) on the specific building code that you are looking for to select.
3.7 Now verify the Room and make changes accordingly. Please note no decimal is allowed. Example, room 2.122 will be entered as 2122. Click “Next” to proceed

3.8 The system will bring you to the Personal Information Mgr page. Click “Next” to preview changes.
3.9 Review your updated information. If the information is correct, click the “Submit” button to apply your changes or the “Cancel” button to cancel the transaction.
3.10 Once you click “Submit”, the system will bring up a confirmation page.

4.0 Employee Phone Number Update
4.1 If you wish to update the phone numbers of your subordinate, go back to Step #3.4 and click the “Update” button under Phone Numbers section.
4.2 Update the phone number in the following format 956-111-1111. Do not enter “N/A”, “None” or any notes. Work Phone number is the Main UTRGV department phone number where
employee works. Work Secondary Number is the Desk or Office phone number for the employee
4.3 Once the information is updated, click “Next”. The system will bring up a new page (same as 3.8) to let you preview the changes. If information is correct, click the “Submit” button.
4.4 Follow Steps 3.9 to 3.10.
