WHY IS A DEVELOPMENT SIMULATOR NEEDED?

• Verify Air-worthiness before flight

• Perform tests that are too dangerous to perform flying.

‒ E.g. Inserting failures in the system.

• Capability and availability.

‒ Enormous amount of verification and validation can be performed in the simulators
