What are you doing to keep active during this unique set of circumstances we are all dealing with?

Now that the road bike is off the indoor trainer I’m enjoying outdoor riding with family and friends. One benefit of these unique times is the decreased volume of traffic. I’ve also been back in the forest with the mountain bike visiting Albion Hills and Durham Forest. Other than that just backyard badminton and neighbourhood wheeling with my family and our dog.

Just keep busy/distracted and get outside as much as possible. Most importantly minimize screen time of any kind!

A lot of people to thank, from family, friends and strangers. I wouldn’t use the words “cycling career” but the one person that got me back into it and onto a Handcycle after my accident was my good friend Rich Vanderwal who initially was a Recreational

Therapist at Toronto Rehab.

Other than a red and white tricycle complete with a trailer at a very young age I remember my used late 70s lime green banana seat CCM bike with a unique crossbar 3 speed shifter. It made me feel superfast! My dad and I later converted it to a BMX.

So many but just to name a few: American Flyers, Iron Cowboy and the David Guetta music video for the song Titanium ft. Sia.

The 2018 24 Hour Summer Solstice Mountain Bike Relay Race and my first 100km ride in 2016 for The Big Move Cancer Ride in Niagara.

Travelling to Phoenix and competing in the 2017/18 Valley of the Sun Race as well as getting out to the 2016 Florida Swamp Classic.
