News from Key Stage One

It has been lovely to have the children back in school this week and to hear all about

what they have had to do during their half term break. Thankfully a good percentage of

them have completed and submitted their assignments; these are being marked and

recorded by the teachers at the moment. We appreciate parents who made Children’s

Day this year memorable for the children.

Attendance

It is important that your child attends school each day. Please ensure that your child is in

class for 08:00am, as the school gates will be locked daily at 08:00. If your child isn’t

going to be in school, please call the school before 09:00am.

After School Clubs

This term’s after school club timetable has been running smoothly, the children have

enjoyed participating in a wide range of activities with their friends. Pupils in all classes

are urged to take part in the different clubs we have in the school.

Hair Extensions:

Please be reminded that pupils are not allowed to wear hair extensions of any kind to

school. This is against the school rule and parents are to ensure that pupils obey the

rules of the school always.

Thank you for your continued support!

Key Stage Two

You are all welcome back to the second half of term 3. Hope you had a wonderful break.

All school activities have commenced in earnest.

Punctuality

We noticed that some pupils still come to school late. The school activities start by 7.30

a.m. Please ensure that you bring your children/wards early enough to school in order

to participate in the morning activities. Morning assembly and home rooming are parts

of the school activities. Any child who comes late from next week will be locked outside

the school gate by 8.00 a.m.

Second Continuous Assessment Test (2NDCAT)

Our second continuous assessment test (2ndCAT) comes up next week Monday 6th June

through Friday 10th June, 2016. Please ensure that you revise with your children/wards.

Mid-Term Holiday Assignment

The deadline for submission of the mid-term holiday assignment is next week

Wednesday 8th June, 2016. Parents are urged to encourage their children/wards to do

the assignment. This will form part of their continuous assessment.

Career Day

Our Career Day for term 3 comes up next week Friday 10th June, 2016. This is one the

pastoral themes for term 3. Each child has to choose a future career and every child is

expected to be in his/her career costume. Parents are urged to provide career costumes

for their children/wards. Please ensure that the children dress smartly and decently in

their career costume.

to show active interest in how the students are faring during the examinations. This will

spur the students to perform even much better.

Saturday lessons

Saturday classes will hold this week on Saturday 4th June, 2016. We strongly advise

parents to encourage their children/wards to avail themselves of these very important

classes as preparatory ground for improved academic performance at the end of the

term and beyond.

Homework diaries

We wish to remind all parents that each and every child in our school has been given a
