OLOMOUCOlomouc is a beautiful city in Moravia.
It is the fifth largest city in the Czech Republic, it is called “pearl on a green
cushion“. He is situated on the river Morava and it
has got about 100 000 people.
Palacký University of Olomouc
It was founded in 16th century and it is the oldest university in Morava and the second oldest in Czech Republic. On her 8 faculties study about 23 000 students which is one fifth of the towns population.
Astronomical Clock The Astronomical Clock is there
since 15th Century. Its present appearance dates from Karl Svolinský. It is part of the Olomouc Town Hall.
Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc
It was built in 1716 – 1754 to celebrate end of the plague. This, 35 meters tall column is the tallest in Czech Republic. It is written on the list of UNESCO.
Church of Panna Marie Sněžná
It is a baroque church. It was built in 1712 – 1719. It has very rich decoration. It is part of a complex of buildings between the city walls and today's Republic Square.
Saint Wenceslas Cathedral
Is at the Wenceslas Square in Olomouc. In the cathedral, there is the biggest bell in Moravia. Originally it was in Romanesque style but now it is in Gothic. The cathedral was restored from February 2004 to 2007.

exhibitions, fairs, festivals. For example Flora Olomouc Exhibition, Academia film Olomouc or Autumn Festival of Sacred Music and the International Organ Festival.
