The application, together with a. photostat copy of the candidate's original discharge papers or a copy of his discharge papers certified by the county clerk, must! be sent oy'registered mail to the Division of Examinations and Testing, postmarked' on or before Ju ly 10,

gal residents of the. State at the: t ime of their entry into the a rmed forces and at the t ime of making applicaion for the examination. They are also required" to submit evidence that they have been ac cepted for admission to an a p proved institution.
The examination will be held ,at centers thorughout the State to be designated -and announced at a later date after applications for the examinations have been determined. It will be of the "objective" typef and will be general in scope. It will be based upon a variety of school work suitable for persons with widely different educational training.
Eight scholarships will be a-warded to each county for each of the assembly districts lying within iis boundaries; New York city will likewise receive eight scholarships -for each assembly
