Summerdaysspentatthehorseshowwithpeoplefromvariousbackgrounds,occupations,skillsandideasareveryrewarding.Competitiondaysofrain,snow,mudorglorioussunshinesharedwithfellowcompetitorswhohaveamutualinterestinhorsesandsport.

TheOHJAAwardseveningisthetimetocongratulateourfriendswhohaveaccomplishedgoalsduringtheircompetitiveseason.GoalsthatmaychangewhentheyoungridergraduatesfromShortStirrupdaystoPonyHunter,BeginnerHuntersprogresstoChildren’sHunter,oramovefromthehunterringtothejumperring.

Butthesefriendsmadethroughthissharedpassionwillalwaysremainpartofyourlives,evenastheseasonspass.And,nomatterwhat,wewillalwayshavesomethingtoconverseabout…oursummersspentsharingandcompetingwithourbestfriend,thehorse.

The Ontario Hunter Jumper Association would like to thank McKee-Pownall Equine Services for their continued sponsorship in 2011.

McKee Pownall Equine Services is proud to continue its support of scholarship awards to junior riders participating in the 1.0M and 1.10M divisions at Gold rated horse shows in Ontario. In order to be considered, junior riders must be a member of the OHJA. This is a Scholarship Award in the form of a GIC. This GIC will be put aside on behalf of the recipient. In order to receive the funds, the winner must use the money for post-secondary education. There will be $2500 per division awarded. The highest point earner will receive $1500 and the second place will receive $1000. Thank you again to McKee Pownall Equine Services.
