Exclusive Campus Walking Tours availableThe University of Notre Dame is well known for both its campus beauty and academic excellence. The Hesburgh Library with its 132 ft. high mural depicting Christ the Teacher, more affectionately known as “Touchdown Jesus,” and the University’s Main Building with its prominent Golden Dome are widely known university landmarks. The tour will also include stops at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes and the famed Golden Dome (Main Building).

Cedar RapidsBuilt by the Milwaukee Road in 1948, the Cedar Rapids rear observation car is one of only four sky top lounges still in service today. In addition to the parlor chairs in the Sky Top Solarium, the Cedar Rapids has room for 24 passengers throughout the newly restored main cabin.
Super DomeThe first end-to-end dome car built for any railroad, the Super Dome #53 is the heaviest passenger car ever built, weighing in at over one hundred tons. With over 85 feet of glass and room for 54 passengers, there is not a bad seat to be found. The Super Dome #53 will provide beautiful views on the journey between Chicago and South Bend.
Wisconsin ValleyBuilt in 1957 by the St. Louis Car Company, the Wisconsin Valley originally served as a medical train for the United States Army. Since serving American troops, the car has been fully restored to feature lounge and table seating for twenty, as well as a fully functional kitchen on board.
Braddock InnBuilt in 1949 as a 21-roomette sleeper for the Pennsylvania Railroad, the car operated on “The Iron City Express” as a regularly assigned car. This parlor/lounge car fea tures 18 Rota-Cline Chairs which recline and have a small fold-out table and is equipped with a full service kitchen.

Round-trip gameday transportation is offered exclusively to our Texas Longhorn Official Tour guests. Please visit the Anthony Travel Hospitality Desk for any transportation questions and assistance.
Please note: The train loading will take place at Union Station between 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 5. All guests must board the train by 1:15 p.m. CT to secure their seat prior to the train doors closing.
Union Station is located south of W. Adams St. and east of S. Canal St. Anthony Travel staff will be stationed throughout the walking path along W. Adams St. from 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. to assist guests to the train station (see map pg. 15). Each guest will have a designated train boarding car noted on your credential. Upon arrival to the station, please proceed to your designated car. This car assignment only serves to expedite boarding and departure. Guests will NOT be required to remain in their assigned car for the duration of the trip.
St. Croix ValleyThe St. Croix Valley was built in 1953 by the St. Louis Car Company. Like the Wisconsin, its first call of duty was also for the United States Army as an Army hospital car. It was acquired by Amtrak in 1973 and reconfigured to Le Pub bar-lounge, then rebuilt in the early 1980s. It has now been fully restored and boasts a kitchen prep area and richly decorated lounge and table seating.
New York CentralBuilt by the Budd Company in 1947, the NYC was part of a 13-car order of tavern lounge cars for day time streamliners throughout the New York Central System.The tavern lounge cars were operated in tandem with the 13 parlor observation cars.
CaritasHigh Iron Travel’s Caritas is America’s premier art-deco private railroad car. Built in 1948 by the Pullman Company for the St. Louis-San Francisco Railroad as a four-bedroom, 14-roomette sleeper, it operated on such famous trains as the Texas Special.
Scenic ViewThe Budd Company built this full-length dome car in 1954 for the Santa Fe Rail way. It was used on such Santa Fe streamliners as the Chief, El Capitan, Chicago an/Kansas Cityan, and San Francisco Chief.
Prairie ViewThis full-length dome car was built in 1955 for service on Great Northern Railway’s Chicago-Twin Cities-Seattle/Portland Empire Builder.

CREDENTIAL
Your credential identifies you as a Texas Longhorn Official Tour guest and is your ticket for the Gameday Train and all gameday transfers. Please wear it at all times. Credentials are non-transferable and each guest must have their own. Guests not carrying their credential will not be allowed to board the chartered train.

Eck Vis itors Center | BOOKSTORE
The Eck Visitors Center is located off Notre Dame Avenue and provides information on all the events happening on campus during the weekend. The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore, to the west of the Eck Visitors Center, carries a variety of Notre Dame merchandise. The bookstore is open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Marching Band pregame CONCERT
The Notre Dame Marching Band performs at 6 p.m. on the steps of Bond Hall, the Architecture Building. They will “step off” 40 minutes later and march to Notre Dame Stadium.
Game Day Assistance
Anthony Travel tour directors will be on site to assist with any needs that may arise. Additionally, Notre Dame guest service representatives will be stationed around campus for assistance as needed. Easily recognizable by their green blazers, these individuals will be on hand to help answer any questions you may have as well as to offer maps and activity listings.
SOUTH BEND
As the fourth largest city in Indiana, South Bend is more than just a college town. The city is brimming with rich history, world-class arts and entertainment, and wonderfully diverse neighborhoods. As the shortest portage point between the St. Joseph River and the Kankakee River, this area was well known among Native Americans, fur traders and missionaries who traveled from eastern shores to the Mississippi River and beyond. Officially established in 1830, South Bend was home to the Studebaker family and their iconic Studebaker Automobile Company.

STADIUM INFORMATION
NOTRE DAME STADIUM
Notre Dame Stadium was built in 1930 and has a seating capacity of 80,795. The Stadium measures a half-mile in circumference, stands 45 feet high and features a glass-enclosed press box that accommodates 264 writers, photographers, and radio and television broadcasters. Current renovations are centered on the Campus Crossroads Project, which will include teaching, research and performance space and student life facilities.
Stadium Regulations
Notre Dame has adopted a new policy on bags and other items fans can bring into the stadium on game days. The following are not permitted inside Notre Dame Stadium:
• Backpacks, duffle bags, or tote bags
(all other small bags are subject to inspection)
• Weapons of any kind
• Alcohol
• Smoking (St. Joseph County ordinance)
• Large containers/coolers
• Cans or glass bottles
• Opened water bottles or other drinking containers
• Stadium chairs or seat backs unless needed for medical reasons
• The throwing of any object at any time
• Signs or banners
• Artificial noise makers
• Selfie sticks

Buses will depart campus for the train station 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. If guests are not on the bus by this time, we will assume they have made other plans for their return trip to Chicago. Pick-up will be at the same location as the drop-off. Anthony Travel staff will be stationed outside of the stadium at Gate B with signs to guide guests to the bus, approximately a 10-minute walk.
