UPC Presents: UNL Homecoming Concert, September 29, 2016, East Campus Mall Event Description: It's fall in Nebraska again and the University Program Council (UPC) is excited once again to be included in UNL Homecoming 2016. Join us on Thursday, September 29th as UPC brings to UNL a country music concert. The concert will be FREE to attend for UNL students and open to the general public. Transportation between City Campus and East Campus will also be provided with no additional cost to UNL students. Event Detail: The UNL Homecoming Concert will be held on the East Campus Mall (greenspace south of Chase Hall). The concert will start at 8:00 PM and end by 11:00 PM. Students will be allowed to be in the area starting around 7:00 PM. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Lancaster Event Center in the Amy Countryman Arena. Further details will be provided by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27th via UNL and UPC Nebraska social media. Volunteer Information: UPC is seeking volunteers to assist with set up and tear down. Participation points will be given to UNL students and student organizations that volunteer. All organizations may provide up to four (4) volunteers to assist UPC. A maximum of 100 points can be earned by each representative if they are present for both set up (25 points) and tear down (75 points). The primary role of the volunteers will be to help with the movement of equipment and staging. All volunteers should dress appropriately. Work clothes are required, along with close-toed work-shoes. Boots are recommended for better protection, along with work gloves. Student volunteers who are improperly dressed will not be able to volunteer and will not receive participation points for their respective organizations. All volunteers who choose to participate must sign up electronically by Friday, September 16, 2016. Please complete the UNL Homecoming Concert Volunteer Form and provide the following information: volunteer name, organization(s), email, phone number, and shirt size. There will be various shifts throughout the day for volunteer's to sign up and time slots will be on a first come, first served basis. Event Benefits: UNL students who volunteer will receive a free t-shirt and recognition for your organization. Thank you for your consideration in helping the University Program Council with the 2016 UNL Homecoming Concert. For further information and details, please contact Riley Smith, UPC Entertainment Chair at [email protected].
