OUTLINE – DIGITAL MEDIA Approve the new regular status CTE capstone course outline for Wilson High School, entitled Digital Media. This course provides students with communication skills and competencies in broadcast media including web and emerging broadcasting technologies. The new course outline reflects the Linked Learning guiding principles and the LBUSD Strategic Plan’s goals and objectives. The course is proposed for CTE elective credit. 2. APPROVE REVISED HIGH SCHOOL CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION COURSE

OUTLINE – DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY Approve the revised CTE concentration course outline for Lakewood High School, entitled Digital Photography. Students learn to understand the artistic qualities of the photographic medium while acquiring the techniques for utilizing photography for expressive purposes. The revised course outline reflects the Linked Learning guiding principles and the LBUSD Strategic Plan’s goals and objectives. The course is proposed for CTE elective credit. 3. Criminal Justice and Law provides students with an overview of the criminal and juvenile justice systems. The new course outline reflects updated UC requirements as well as the Linked Learning guiding principles and the LBUSD Strategic Plan’s goals and objectives. The course is proposed for History-Social Science. The following basic textbook and supplemental online materials are recommended to support the implementation of this course:

The new course outline reflects updated UC requirements as well as the Linked Learning guiding principles and the LBUSD Strategic Plan’s goals and objectives. An extensive listing of online materials, aligned to each unit of instruction, is included in the outline to support the implementation of this course. The recommended list of online resources meets the social compliance criteria for instructional materials established by the State of California. ALGEBRA AB SDC Approve the revised Mathematics course outline, entitled Algebra AB SDC. The course provides opportunity for depth of the content standards, including standards from the conceptual categories of Number and Quantity, Algebra, Functions, and Statistics and Probability. The new

Students working toward functionally-based IEP goals engage in daily mathematics focusing on Geometry, Algebra, Data Analysis, and Measurement, including functional math concepts such as spending money, telling time, keeping a calendar, following maps, reading graphs, understanding paychecks, and budgeting. The course is based on alternate achievement standards addressed by the California Alternate Assessment (CAA) with the goal of increased academic outcomes for students, preparing them to leave high school ready for post-secondary outcomes. 9. STUDY LABS Approve the revised Interdepartmental course outlines, entitled Study Lab 1-2, Study Lab 3-4, Study Lab 5-6, and Study Lab 7-8. APPROVE DATA SHARING AGREEMENTS AS PART OF THE CORE WAIVER Approve the data sharing agreements as a part of the California Office to Reform Education (CORE) waiver for the 2015-16 school year.
