Community Level Brochurewill include cover picture that highlights many of the things going on. Inside the cover you will find categories created for your community including;

Gathering Information for Sustainable Tennessee

Is an effort to identify community Homestead Economic and Entrepreneurs of Food Based, Organic Foods and Other Related Businesses.

PURPOSE•Through this project we will remove barriers and provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to create safe food and homestead products by bringing together individual and groups who are starting or expanding a home business.

•Individuals and groups from Montgomery and surrounding counties are invited to gather and discuss the many factors that come into play as we develop a brochure listing of businesses, discuss certified home kitchens, our community kitchen and other needs of entrepreneurs.

We Want to Know Communities

1) what kind of entrepreneurs and events are available in 6 Tennessee and 2 Kentucky Counties at the community level?2) is there a demand or could a demand be created for these events, services/products?3) is there a need to network with other entrepreneurs, organic growers, events, etc? 4) what information could be made available to assistance with efforts?5) can a coalition of like minded leaders assist with any of the above questions raised?

We Want to Know Food

1) what food and other products are currently being created in 6 Tennessee and 2 Kentucky Counties at the community level.2) is there a demand or could a demand be created for products processed locally from regionally grown foods?3) what products could be enhanced with the use of regionally grown foods and networking with growers and producers? 4) what entrepreneurs are creating food products and are unable to find locally grown producers? 5) can we increase the opportunity to eat locally processed food? • Food security issues also arise as individuals are considering buying local processed food. Could you be buying a food product that is not following protective regulations as required by the Tennessee State Government? •Consumers need to know that the foods they purchase are safe. With the new regulation changes;

1-sell certain safe foods made at home a few times each year with no regulation,

2-use of the Certified Home Kitchen to make certain foods for resale

3- use of the Commercial Kitchen to create yet other foods for resale.
