Pray!
Pray!
O great St. Helena, patroness of our diocese, who for love of Our Lord made pilgrimage to the Holy Land to mark the sites of his Paschal Mystery, grant, I pray, that you would intercede to the Father on behalf of the Church in western Montana as we await the appoint-ment of our next bishop. Grant that we will be sent a spiritual shepherd after the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Good Shepherd who laid down his life for us, His sheep. Pray to God that we will be given a bishop who is faithful and just, holy and wise, loving and zealous. May he be completely devoted to the Lord and to the service of the people entrusted to his care, so that the Diocese of Helena may experience a new springtime of growth in holiness and the number of souls drawn to the Lord through his Church. Amen.
Novena to St Helena for our next bishop
Meet Saint John Vianney’s New DRE, Krista Baziak!
St. John Vianney is pleased to announce that Krista has been hired as our new
Director of Religious Education. Krista moved to Bozeman in 2009 after being accepted into the Master of Fine Arts program at MSU. In 2012,
she decided to make Montana her new home after finishing her degree and meeting her now husband, Brian
Baziak who was in the Master of Science program for Paleontology at MSU.
Krista has been a member of Saint John Vianney since January of 2016 when the request of a friend from high school prompted her to walk into the church. It was not long after joining the parish that she began attending RCIA classes to become Catholic and eventually joined the Church at the 2017 Easter vigil Mass. Hungry to learn and be involved more, she also joined Saint Martha’s
Altar Society and later, the SJV schola. Originally raised in Omaha, Nebraska and baptized as a Methodist, Krista is incredibly thankful for the strange turn of events and the prompting of the
Holy Spirit that led to her becoming Catholic. Krista and Brian are residents of Belgrade and together they have one daughter, Elizabeth Marie.
While Krista also teaches art part-time for Petra Academy she is thrilled for the opportunity to also help children to also know God through her role as the
new Director of Religious Education at Saint John Vianney.
Praying with Pope Francis - Intention for the month of

the injustice which prevails in the world may not have the last word.

Letter from a Grandparent
Dear Fr. Gilbaugh, When I was visiting for Easter you gave a homily about your excellent Catholic School. I would like to donate to your tuition assistance program - to help any family who needs it. My husband and I are huge believers in a solid Catholic education and we hope someday that our little grandchildren will attend this Divine Mercy Academy. Thank you, Julia
