Solas Servicing is a centralised service provider offering the service, calibration and repair of your marine

instrumentation and equipment at more than 250 ports across the world. As required in the marine industry,

our service is efficient and professional. A quick turnaround time and technical support is guaranteed 24/7.

Our technicians are maker approved and all spare parts are genuine OEM supply. No matter your port of

call, we will ensure all equipment is inspected, calibrated / serviced and returned before departure. When

a repair is required, we will take pictures of damage, send a technical report with repair costs to enable a

fully transparent decision to be made. Only on your approval would we proceed.

The equipment serviced is wide ranging, thus reducing need to use multiple companies at each port to

meet your servicing requirement.

LIFERAFTS INSPECTION

• Annual inspection and re-certification of liferafts

• Service approved by all liferaft makers

(Viking, RFD, DSB, Fujikura, CSM, Youlong, Toyo,

Dacheng, Haining, Seasafe, Duarry, Lalizas and others).

ENGINE ROOM EQUIPMENT

• Calibration and certification of Pressure and

Temperature Calibrators.

• Spares supply and repair.

• Torque wrench inspection, calibration and certification.

• Dynamometer service, calibration and certification.

LIFEBOATS / DAVITS / WINCH SYSTEM INSPECTION

• Annual Inspection of Lifeboats and Davits as per latest

IMO regulations.

• Annual service approved by lifeboat and davit makers or

service under flag register with class supervision. 5

yearly test including load test of lifeboats and davits.

Re-hooking of lifeboats and davits.

In certain cases where our company and/or our Service

Engineers do not have particular manufacturer approval,

according to IMO Circular MSC/Circ. 1206 we can carry

out services as “competent person” under class inspector

supervision and Flag approval.


FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT

• Fire extinguishers’ annual inspection / refilling /

hydrotest

• Fixed fire extinguishing systems’ inspection (CO2

system, water mist system, galley CO2 system, fixed foam

system, wet chemical system)

• CO2 system visual inspection of control valves blow air

through. Two yearly inspection includes level check of

all cylinders. Five yearly inspection: internal inspection

of control valves. Ten yearly inspection is cylinder

hydrostatic pressure test and internal inspection

(min 10%)

LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT INSPECTION

• SCBA Sets inspection / function test. Cylinder

inspection, refilling / hydrotest.

• EEBD Sets inspection / function test. Cylinder

inspection / hydrotest.

• Immersion suits inspection / pressure test.

3 Year pressure leak test.

• Lifejackets inspection.

• Resuscitator annual service. Medical oxygen cylinders
