Query/View/Report (QVR) QuickView (QV) IC Search, Track, Order, and Reporting of

Documents (ICSTORe) WebQT IMPAC II Reporting DataBase (IRDB)

• Provides source data for all IC extension systems

Reporting & Analysis

OLTP used for operational time critical reporting IRDB (IMPAC II Reporting database) is designed for querying

and reporting as a decision support system (no transactions, read only)• Non-time critical reporting• Database design is denormalized

o not over-encumbered with table joinso prejoined PowerView for easy access

• Data built by nightly load of most data elements from OLTP

• Contains historical data (1972)• By spreading workload between OLTP and IRDB

databases, overall processing performance is improved• Supports analytical reporting (cross functional analysis)• Provides easy access through any tools including Crystal

Reports

CRISP

CRISP is a searchable database of federally funded biomedical research projects conducted at universities, hospitals, and other research institutions

30,000 queries per week Users, including the public, query the CRISP

interface to search for scientific concepts, emerging trends and techniques, or to identify specific projects and/or investigators
