Digitally Smart

OS-CIT is an Informa�on Technology (IT) literacy course started by OKCL in the year 2011.

IT literacy explore a wide variety of topics, including how people find, use, summarize, evaluate, create, and communicate informa�on while using digital technologies. Also encompasses a variety of hardware pla�orms, such as computer hardware, cell phones, mobile devices and so�ware or mobile applica�ons, including web search or internet applica�ons, more broadly. IT literacy is concerned with much more than how people learn to use computers.

Informa�on and communica�on technology (ICT) is used to enhance quality, performance and interac�vity of urban services, to reduce costs and resource consump�on and to improve contact between ci�zens and government. Smart city applica�ons are developed with the goal of improving the management of urban flows and allowing for real �me responses to challenges. A smart city may therefore be more prepared to respond to challenges than one with a simple 'transac�onal' rela�onship with its ci�zens.
