Walking With Moms in Need Thursday, October 29 7:00 pm Virtual Fundraiser

Pregnant and parenting moms in need are in our parishes and our neighbor-hoods. As Pope Francis reminds us, our parishes need to be “islands of mercy in the midst of a sea

of indifference.” Everyone in the parish community should know where to refer a pregnant woman in need. The 25th anniversary year of Evangelium vitae gives us a wonderful opportunity to assess, expand, and communicate resources to pregnant moms and families in need. The US Catholic Bishops have invited parishes to participate in a nationwide effort to support their local pregnancy help centers with a program entitled: “Walking with Moms in Need: A Year of Service.” More info visit: https://www.usccb.org/committees/pro-life-activities We can support this local pregnancy center with our contributions and participation at the Virtual Fundraiser, Thursday, October 29, at 7:00 p.m. Keynote speaker: Sister Deirdre Bryne.

Tres pasos, a seguir. 1. ©LPi

October 2020 Social Justice Green Envelope In October 2019, generous parishioners donated $2,609 to support Social Justice outreach. These funds were used to support homelessness ($509 to Envision), missionary outreach to an international orphanage ($800 to Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos), respect life initiatives ($200 Abria Clinic, $200 Reel Hope Project), and charitable assistance to our Latino brothers and sisters in need due to COVID ($900). You can ensure the continued work to address these important Social Justice initiatives with a donation in your October green envelope!

    SEPTEMBER GREEN ENVELOPES:

Our September green envelope donation raised $5,530.00 to benefit our Endowment Funds. Your contributions create a lasting legacy to provide a sustainable source of income for our parish community. Thank you for your charitable support!

DID YOU MISPLACE YOUR GREEN ENVELOPE?

If you have misplaced your green envelope, you may still contribute to the Social Justice Ministry by making a check out to St. Odilia with Social Justice in the memo line.
