For many years Bernie has volunteered his time as a Redcoat waiter and he also has been a longtime volunteer each month to assist with sorting and labeling the Knight Life newsletter. This past Labor Day Bernie once again volunteered his time by selling tickets at the BBQ picnic. Thank you Bernie Edwartowski for your many years of volunteerism here at EDW. Congratulations for being our October Knight of the Month. FAMILY OF THE MONTH What truly makes E.D.W. a great place to be is when families enjoy the Council and Club. One such family is Patrick Kerrigan, his wife MaryBeth and their three children, Christian, Caroline, and Elizabeth. Patrick volunteers as a Redcoat waiter at many E.D.W. events throughout the year. You can always find the Ker- rigan family enjoying the pool each summer and Burger Nights at the Council Home. Congratulations to the Kerrigan family as our Family of the Month. Knights of Columbus Annual Classic Car Show October 21st 10:00am to 3:00pm No Entry Fee Donations for Thanksgiving Fund Welcome CAPITAL CAMPAIGN: THE FIRST YEAR Jim Savarese, Campaign Chairman During the first year of the EDW Capital Campaign, we raised $125,326. $97,795 was in cash and $27,531 in pledges. 142 individuals made contributions and 53 made contributions of $1,000 or more. Thank you for your generosity. We are especially appreciative for the generous contributions made by our parishes and religious communities. St. Agnes Church, the Cathedral of St. Thomas More, and Missionhurst all made contributions to our effort. Special thanks to Father Roos, Father Rippey, and Father Giordano for keeping us in their thoughts and prayers. We have made a good start in attempting to get our infrastruc- ture back into shape, but we have a long way to go. We have set a goal to raise $250,000 by Labor Day, 2008. In order to achieve this, we need broader participation by all of us. We thank you in advance for your consideration.
