I would also like to congratulate members of the club who have done well at obedience, breed and Rally O. Congratulations to all those students who passed their class this term. And to those who didn't quite make it, don't despair, look at how far you and your dog have come this term and don't forget any time spent working with and training your dog is time well spent. Next term starts on the 18 th October and this term is out at Ashhurst. It is always helpful if you pre-enrol so that we have an idea of numbers. You can do this either with the enrolment form given out tonight or by going to dogtraining.org.nz. Our club also has a Facebook page where we post information. Please join us and feel free to post as well. I trust you have all had an enjoyable term of training and hope to see many of you back next term. Remember training should be fun. Keep up the good work, Robyn

PRESIDENT’S BLOG:-

Here we are nearly over our fourth term of training. I think this term we have been quite lucky

with the weather. Our evenings now will be getting lighter and warmer.

At the end of last term in our break we held another of our one night classes for young handlers

with their dogs…. It was a great evening and the children and the instructors had a wonderful

time. We are repeating the evening in our break again on the 11th October; you would have

received enrolment forms last week. If you have a youth handler who would like to come along

and have fun with their dog then please enrol.

Our club held its annual Championship Obedience and Rally O show on the 3 & 4 September out

at our Ashhurst grounds. The weekend went extremely well and we were most fortunate with the

weather. I would like to thank our hard working committee members for their hard work leading

up to and over the weekend. I would also like to thanks those club members who kindly donated

baking or cooking to our kitchen. Congratulations to our club members who did well over the

weekend.

I would like to thank our instructors for this term, all who volunteer their time to help you and

your dogs. I would also like to congratulate members of the club who have done well at

obedience, breed and Rally O.

Congratulations to all those students who passed their class this term. And to those who didn't

quite make it, don't despair, look at how far you and your dog have come this term and don't

forget any time spent working with and training your dog is time well spent.

Next term starts on the 18th October and this term is out at Ashhurst. It is always helpful if you

pre-enrol so that we have an idea of numbers. You can do this either with the enrolment form

given out tonight or by going to dogtraining.org.nz.

Our club also has a Facebook page where we post information. Please join us and feel free to post

as well.

I trust you have all had an enjoyable term of training and hope to see many of you back next term.

Remember training should be fun. Keep up the good work,

Robyn

Anthea I first joined Tararua Allbreeds back in 2001 with

our middle aged Labrador Mickey (freshly adopted

from the SPCA). Mickey taught me that old dogs

can indeed learn new tricks and introduced me to

the world of dog training, trick training/dog

dancing, and competition obedience.

Over the years I have been involved with the Club

via instructing, the Committee, and helping with the

Club’s shows.

Currently we are owned two Border Collies: Nina

(aged nearly 13) and Hunter (7).

I occasionally compete in competition obedience and

also steward obedience.

With SPRING here & SUMMER on its way REMEMBER to get a flea control plan under

way before they start to bite.

Instructor / Committee Profile:

Lochie (Spayside Double O-Seven)

It was with great sadness that Robyn Bland

said goodbye to Lochie recently after a very quick

illness and our deepest condolences to Robyn,

Veronica & Chris.

Lochie was a truly lovely dog and will be missed

by all who knew him.

Run free and out of pain, Lochie, say Hi to Chrissy

when you get to the Rainbow Bridge.
