Forming Forming of group by a co-incidence meant the initial days were

    going to be tough

Initial discussions were limited in understanding each others

capabilities. People with diverse background and work ex increased

the skepticism among the team Many target areas and corresponding activities discussed-

    Marathon

Welfare of children of prisoners at Lakshmisagar

    Welfare work at OAB

However no concrete decision was taken

This stage helped us in understanding each other in a short time

and realizing the combined potential of the group.

    Storming

Because of less acquaintance with each other, meetings were

    mostly debates rather then discussions

Some people were willing to go beyond constraints(time,

academic load, difficulties in a new city). However, few wereskeptic about launching a big task.

Occasional bouts of leadership initiatives were shot down by

    differing cliques.

After various rounds of discussion(sometimes heated) and

gradual building of consensus, we zeroed upon OAB.

This phase taught us Conflict management, Listening skills,

    Balanced decision making

    Norming

    Group evolved into team.

Subgroups were formed for various tasks like interaction withOAB, fund raising, media management

SPOC appointed for each group to ensure completion of workin stipulated time

    Fixed deadlines for each task

Regular meetings to keep a track of progress

Team realized the latent capabilities of many team members

which was initially not evident in Forming stage Our learnings in this stage- Delegation of work, co-ordination,

new activities like Fund raising and media management
