NWIC Early Learning Center Parent & Family Newsletter Sacred Little Ones Website On Friday January 31 st the Northwest Indian College and other participating tribal colleges will go live with the Wakanayeja “Sacred Little Ones” website. The site will be updated with news, events and developments at Northwest Indian College Early Childhood Education programs, and will link to other programs as well. Stay Tuned! March 28th WINTER QUARTER 2014 Introducing Our New Director My name is Alicia Allard and I am excited to be joining the NWIC Early Learning Center as the new Director. We will continue to provide highquality childcare and family support for students and staff of Northwest Indian College and Lummi Nation. I have been working with Lummi Early Learning programs since 2009 as a Teacher at Lummi Head Start, and Parent Educator at the Teen Parent Child Development Center. Prior to my career in early childhood education I worked as a Community Health Educator at the Mother Baby Center. I am passionate about providing high quality tribal early learning services and empowering families to be their child’s first teacher. I hold a BA in Human Services from WWU, and will graduate in August 2014 with a Master’s in Early Childhood: Administration, Management & Leadership from Walden University. Introducing Our New Director

My  name  is  Alicia  Allard  and  I  am  excited  to  be  joining  the  NWIC  Early  Learning  Center  as  the  new  Director.    We  will  continue  to  provide  high-­‐quality  childcare  and  family  support  for  students  and  staff  of  Northwest  Indian  College  and  Lummi  Nation.
