Terms and Conditions of

Regional Grant -

This Regional Grant Termsand Conditions talks about

the work that x will do with theNational Valuing Families

Forum, supported byInclusion North

Why do we need this agreement?

It makes sure that everybodyknows what has been agreedand the rules of how we will worktogether.

It also includes things like whatthe work is and who is in chargeof making sure we keep to thelaw about things.

It provides information aboutwhen the work should becompleted and about thepayment.

The grant is with Inclusion North.Inclusion North is doing this workon behalf of The National ValuingFamilies Forum.

What is the work?

The regional grant covers 5 mainareas, based on the overall foraaims of ‘Ensuring the ‘grassroots’ voice of people withlearning disabilities and theirfamily carers is as strong,representative and effective ascan be’:

1. Developing andstrengthening the regional

network2. Communication3. Linking with the National

Valuing Families Forum4. Working together (families

and self-advocates)5. Monitoring

Alongside these broad areas ofwork each region will have anaction plan, agreed by theRegional Host/co-ordinator andInclusion North on behalf of theNational Valuing Families Forum.

The action plan will set out 1-2things that the regional host willdo, and will be based on theregional review feedback anddiscussions between the hostand Inclusion North.

This grant agreement is for 18months – starting from 1

st

October 2015 and ending on 31st

March 2017.The grant will bepaid in 3 six monthly stages.

The action plan will be reviewed

by the regional host and InclusionNorth every six months,alongside the agreement.

If the regional host is not able todemonstrate that they meet theterms of the grant, or their abilityto deliver the grant changesInclusion North (on behalf of the

National Valuing Families Forum)will not release the money for thenext six months.

Any additional work you areasked to deliver on top of thisagreement will be on a voluntaryor paid basis, following initialdiscussion with the NationalValuing Families Forum.

What have x agreed to do?Under the terms and conditions of the grant we will

ask each region to do the following:

1. Developing and strengtheningthe regional network

- Engage directly with families

in their region- Develop and build links with

family groups and carers

centres across the region- Identify areas in the region

that are not connected andseek to engage

- Understand the keygroups/organisations that thenetwork needs to be

connected too- Link with local/regional

family leadershipinitiatives/schemes

- Develop a regional planalongside families in theregion that reflects theNational Valuing FamiliesForum priorities/regionalpriorities

- Share the database ofcontacts/members/links withInclusion North (on behalf ofthe National ValuingFamilies Forum)

- Deliver the action planagreed between the co-ordinator and Inclusion North(on behalf of the NationalValuing Families Forum)

- Use National ValuingFamilies Forum branding asset out in the Working

Together agreement- Ensure all information is

shared across the region in atimely manner

- Ensure regional workopportunities are shared in atimely manner

- Promote the NationalValuing Families Forum and

the regional forum wheneverthere is an opportunity

- Communicate any difficultieswith fulfilling the grant assoon as possible withInclusion North (on behalf ofthe National ValuingFamilies Forum)

3. Linking with the NationalValuing Families Forum

To support the regional reps

to gather their regions view

in a way that can be fed into

the national forum

To be engaged with the

National Valuing Families

Forum and on at least an

annual basis attend one of

the meetings

To understand and have

knowledge of the National

Valuing Families Forum

priorities/work plan

4. Working together (families and

self-advocates)

- To support joint workingacross the 2 regional forums

wherever there is an

opportunity to come together

- To develop a relationship

with the co-ordinator of the

self-advocacy forum- To raise awareness of both

forums when the opportunity

arises

- Share information with that is

relevant to both forums

5.Monitoring

- Complete a 6 monthly grant

monitoring form

- Have a minimum 3 monthly

phonecall with Inclusion

What does the National ValuingFamilies Forum, supported byInclusion North agree to do?

Agree and review the 6 monthlyaction plan with you

Send you the 6 monthly monitoringforms for you to complete

Send you contact details for yourregional self-advocacy network if youdo not already have them

Communicate in a timely manner asset out in the ‘Communication acrossthe fora’ appendix in the Working

Together Agreement

Share with you regional contacts,networks or family leadershipprogrammes that may be helpful in

strengthening and developing yourregional network

Share updates about regional workopportunities

For any other work we want you todo we will send you clear requestsand a timetable for when we wantthings done.

Fees and Expenses

The National Valuing FamiliesForum will pay you £3,300 for thiswork.

Your grant will start on 1st October 2015 and end on 31

st

March 2017.

We will ask you to give us a reporton how you are spending themoney every 6 months.

We will ask for this report to beeasy to understand.

When and how will the money be

paid?

Payment for the work will be in 3six monthly stages when thegrant agreement has been

signed.

x will invoice Inclusion North(who are supporting the NationalValuing Families Forum) for their

payment and this will be paid byBACS.

If you are having problemsdelivering the work you will beexpected to talk to your linkperson, Lucy Virgo, or a memberof Inclusion North as soon aspossible.

We will look at what we can do tohelp and support you.
