Sewing Instructions1. Place (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric L square on top of (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric J square, right side together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make (2) JL units (Fig. 3). Trim blocks to measure 3 ½”. Repeat to make (16) JL units total.

2. Repeat Step 1 with (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric K squares and (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric M squares to make (16) KM units (Fig. 4).

3. Repeat Step 1 with (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric O squares and (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric M squares to make (16) OM units (Fig. 5).

4. Repeat Step 1 with (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric Q squares and (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric L squares to make (16) QL units (Fig. 6).

5. Repeat Step 1 with (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric K squares and (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric B squares to make (16) KB units (Fig. 7).

6. Repeat Step 1 with (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric N squares and (8) 3 ⅞” Fabric C squares to make (16) NC units (Fig. 8).

7. Place (1) 3 ½” Fabric F square on the left side of (1) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric B strip, right sides together (Fig. 9). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 9). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 10). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

8. Place (1) 3 ½” Fabric G square on the right side of the 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric B strip, right sides together (Fig. 11). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 11). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 12). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) FBG unit.

9. Repeat Steps 7-8 to make (8) 3 ½” x 6 ½” FBG units.

10. Repeat Steps 7-8 with (8) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric D strips, (8) 3 ½” Fabric F squares and (8) 3 ½” Fabric G squares to make (8) FDG units (Fig. 13).

14. Repeat Steps 7-8 with (8) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric U strips, (8) 3 ½” Fabric H squares and (8) 3 ½” Fabric P squares to make (8) HUP units (Fig. 17).

15. Repeat Steps 7-8 with (8) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric L strips, (8) 3 ½” Fabric F squares and (8) 3 ½” Fabric R squares to make (8) FLR units (Fig. 18).

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)19. Sew together (2) Block One squares and (2) Block Two squares, alternating them to make Block Row One, Repeat to make Block Row Two and Three. Note: Start with Block Two for Row Two.

20. Refer to the quilt layout to sew the block rows together with (2) 12 ½” x 48 ½” Fabric C strips to make the quilt top. Make sure to rotate Block Row 2 180 degrees

21. Sew (1) 2” x 60 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 2” x 51 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.

22. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 63 ½” Fabric V strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 61 ½” Fabric V strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.

23. Layer and quilt as desired.

24. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

25. Bind as desired.

16. Repeat Steps 7-8 with (8) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric S strips, (8) 3 ½” Fabric F squares and (8) 3 ½” Fabric R squares to make (8) FSR units (Fig. 19).

17. Refer to Figure 20 for the block layout to sew together (1) of each unit: 6 ½” Fabric A square, HCI unit, HEI unit, FBG unit, FDG unit along with (2) of each unit: JL unit and MK unit to make one Block One square. Bonus Runner Assembly (Refer to the Bonus Runner Layout while assembling.)1. Sew together (1) Block One square, (2) Block Two squares and (1) Block One square, in that order to make the runner top.

2. Layer and quilt as desired.

3. Sew the (4) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

4. Bind as desired.
