Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 11 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 11 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 1 ½’ x 13 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 12 ½” square to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (6) Block One squares total.

2. Using your favorite paper piecing method and the templates provided, make (24) Unit 1 triangles using Fabrics G and E (Fig. 2).

11. Sew (1) Block One square to each side of (1) Block Two square to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four.

12. Sew the (4) rows together in numerical order to make the Center Block.

13. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 48 ½” Fabric I strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 38 ½” Fabric I strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

14. Sew (1) 1 ¾” x 50 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ¾” x 41” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

15. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 23 ¾” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of (1) 6 ½” Fabric K square. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of the Center Block.

3. Place (1) 1 ½” Fabric D square on the top left corner of (1) 2 ½” Fabric F square, right sides together (Fig. 3). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 3). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 4). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.

4. Follow Figure 5 for the seam direction to add a 1 ½” Fabric D square to the upper right corner of the 2 ½” Fabric F square to make (1) Unit 2 block (Fig. 6).

5. Repeat Steps 3-4 to make (24) Unit 2 blocks total.

6. Sew (1) 2 ½” Fabric C square to each side of (1) Unit 2 block to make the top row. Repeat to make the bottom row. Sew (1) Unit 2 block to each side of (1) 2 ½” Fabric C square to make the middle row. Sew the (3) rows together to make (1) Unit 3 block (Fig. 7). Pay attention to the orientation of the units and rows. Repeat to make (6) Unit 3 blocks total.

7. Sew (1) Unit 1 triangle to all four sides of (1) Unit 3 block to make (1) Unit 4 block (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (6) Unit 4 blocks total.

8. Sew (1) 1 ¼” x 9” Fabric H strip to each side of (1) Unit 4 block. Sew (1) 1 ¼” x 10 ½” Fabric H strip to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 4 block to make (1) Unit 5 block (Fig. 9). Repeat to make (6) Unit 5 blocks total.

9. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of (1) Unit 5 block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 5 block to make (1) Block Two square (Fig. 10). Repeat to make (6) Block Two squares total.

Page 3Holiday Wishes Quilt 116. Sew (3) 6 ½” Fabric K squares and (2) 6 ½” x 17 ¾” Fabric J strips together end to end and alternating them. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

17. Sew (1) 1 ¾” x 65” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ¾” x 55 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

18. Layer and quilt as desired.

19. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

20. Bind as desired.
