The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Health Science is a career path for health care professionals who have completed the vocational nursing health science certificate program. The 60 credit hour associate degree is designed to assist current health care professionals to meet continuing education goals, transfer into four-year university health care administration or allied health programs, or to attain possible promotion from entry-level to advanced level positions. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Applicants for the program must meet the requirements for general admission to the College and must also meet the following specific requirements: Be a high school graduate, GED, or equivalent Have a GPA minimum of 2.25 on college-level course work Pass a physical examination and meet specific immunizations requirements. Contact the nursing department for additional information. Pass a criminal history check and drug screen Skill levels: must be a minimum of 7 in reading, 9 in math and 7 in writing.
