Mission Central is in critical need of these 6 items for their kits (all items need to be new):7-8" combs,liquid household cleaner (12-16 oz. liquid cleaner that can be mixed with water, no spray cleaners),hand towels (no microfiber),lightweight cotton fabric to be used to make dresses (minimum of 3 continuous yards),30" x 30" receiving blankets,and1 subject notebooks or filler paper up to 150 sheets.The collection bin will be outside the choir room door, as you head into the sanctuary. Local Needs Offering - This morning the baskets will be passed to support Messiah’s Local Needs Ministry. Please give as you are able. Thank you. Rise Against Hunger – Rise Against Hunger is back by popular demand at Messiah UMC. On Saturday, May 13th, you are invited to Messiah to aid in packaging meals for Rise Against Hunger, formerly Stop Hunger Now. The event will begin at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall. We are looking for between 50-100 volunteers to package up to 15,000 meals. A small team of 10 individuals will be needed to help set up and tear down the event. Sign-ups will be posted on the Missions board across from our mailboxes, If you have any questions, please call Messiah at (717) 530- 4904 or e-mail Chad Prosser at chadprosser@gmail.com. Please consider being part of this awesome event! Baby Quilts - May 15th is our next Baby Quilts ministry gathering for the New Year. We will meet in the 4-year old’s classroom at 1pm. All are welcome regardless of experience level. Finished quilts are presented to babies at the time of their baptism. Future dates: June 5, July 3, August 14, September 11, October 2, Nov& Dec TBA. Musical Instruments Needed - The Musical Instrument Program at Messiah Church is currently in need of a full-size violin for an area student. If you have a violin (or any used musical instrument, for that matter!) that is not being used, we would love to receive it and try to place it in the hands of an interested student. Safe Sanctuary Reminders Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children before,

during, and after the worship service. Children need to be accompanied by an adult while they are in the

hallways, stairways, bathroom, and elevator. Parents will monitor older children/youth so that they are not

unsupervised in the hallways, bathrooms, stairways, and elevator.

Worship Notes: Worship Service Nursery Care is available for children up to five years in the Evangel Center. To reach the nurseries, exit through the front-left door of the sanctuary. Infants and toddlers are

welcome in our sanctuary worship. If, however, their discomfort or energy level poses an obstacle to others in worship, please utilize the Nursery ministries gifted to us by God in rooms
